The Krogen 58 EB is the embodiment of beauty and function. Comfortable, capable, safe and sure, her Pure Full Displacement hullform and superior-quality materials and systems result in an unrivaled passagemaker in this size range. While many builders today focus on building much larger yachts in the 70-foot-plus market, Kadey-Krogen Yachts has made the deliberate business decision to concentrate its decades of experience on significant passagemakers like the 58. As a result, our customers will find a bluewater cruiser easily piloted and handled by two people without the need for additional crew. Yet the yacht is set up to accommodate a large family ready to go off the beaten path. Are you ready to start your journey? Designing a yacht intended to explore the world’s oceans is no easy feat. Every seasoned yachtsman will eventually be told that “all boats are a compromise.” At Kadey-Krogen, we view that opinion as simply giving up and not trying hard enough. For more than 45 years we have proven that it is possible to have an efficient hull design, extreme comfort while under passage and in port, all with a design that is pleasing to the eye. Coupling all of these elements together is certainly not easy, especially when you choose to build each and every 58 without compromise. Like all Kadey-Krogen models, the 58 seamlessly blends design, systems, and comforts. And we don’t see these as autonomous endeavors. For example, on a passagemaker it is preferred that the living quarters that will see significant use while on passage are concentrated in the most comfortable portion of the boat should heavy weather be encountered. Note the location of the 58’s pilothouse and galley area. This also benefits the design and weight distribution allowing an easy motion into a head sea. The deep forefoot and rounded entry of the 58 ensure there is no pounding at all. It’s a soft, easy entry into even large seas. Furthermore, the weight distribution complemented by the underbody shape eliminates any tendency for the Krogen 58 to produce any type of pitching motion. A better and easier motion through the seas not only means a less tired crew, but it also results in a more efficient passage. 1,810 gal. fuel capacity (single engine) 1 x 325-bhp John Deere diesel Twin John Deere diesels are optional 12mm tempered glass windows throughout Fuel polishing system Wing-stations with engine and thruster controls All fiberglass surfaces are ground smooth and then painted
The proven Krogen 48 AE stands out as an unrivaled liveaboard yacht while retaining superior running characteristics, reliability, and exceptional seaworthiness and safety. We challenge you to find another bluewater-capable yacht under 50 feet that is as spacious, comfortable, and built to exacting standards as the Krogen 48 AE. Like each Kadey-Krogen built yacht, the 48 AE blends timeless and traditional design with the most recent technological advances and innovation. In the end, each 48 AE is representative of the owners’ taste and preference, complemented by our nearly five decades of boatbuilding experience. Where will your Krogen 48 take you? Stop by any boat show or walk along a dock on a busy afternoon and inevitably the conversation turns to what defines a true bluewater cruiser versus a comfortable coastal cruiser. Just as there are a lot of boats out there, there are also a lot of opinions. Yet at Kadey-Krogen, we have long believed that a bluewater-worthy boat and a capable coastal cruiser do not have to be automonous endeavors. Like all Kadey-Krogen models, the Krogen 48 is designed and built to be both an all-oceans capable passagemaker with a range of more than 4,700 miles, as well one of the most comfortable trawler yachts in its class. With a Krogen, there is simply no reason to compromise. The Krogen 48 represents nearly 50 years of evolutionary thinking and focus on building the best trawler yachts available. Thanks to nearly 75 deliveries to date, we have perfected each new 48 to ensure it benefits from our experienced owners, the latest technology and innovation, and our pledge to always strive for excellence. Seasoned passagemakers appreciate the 48’s seakindly ride and the fine entry that slices through waves versus plowing through them, which consumes more energy. Plus the V-shaped after sections slice following seas rather than creating a surfing motion. This also translates to comfort and safety on board allowing you to arrive in port well-rested. And with less resistance and drag overall, Kadey-Krogen engineering results in better fuel economy. It’s that simple. 1,000 gal. fuel capacity 1 x 200-hp John Deere diesel Aluminum fuel tanks w/sight gauges Solid fiberglass below the waterline Corecell used in superstructure to lower center of gravity Flawlessly finished engine room allows for easier service
Whether you are an inland or coastal cruiser, or have a dream to see the world, the Krogen 44 AE is an ideal platform for the journey. While many builders are abandoning yachts under 50 feet, Kadey-Krogen strongly believes that focusing on the owner-operator niche will yield the ultimate passagemaker. In fact, with the introduction of the Krogen 42 in 1977, Kadey-Krogen Yachts pioneered the full displacement trawler yacht. Today, the Krogen 44 AE has perfected this concept. She is a great sea boat and a proven transoceanic voyager. Just as important, thanks to her layout and advanced ergonomics, she offers live-aboard ease and comfort that is simply unparalleled. Being easier to handle and maintain are qualities that every ocean trawler yacht should offer, but few actually deliver these attributes along with the comfort of home. The Krogen 44 AE offers superior fuel efficiency, stalwart construction techniques and advanced ergonomics that our customers have come to expect from Kadey-Krogen Yachts. When a company focuses on one thing for nearly 50 years, and focuses on doing that extremely well, chances are it gets really good at it. That’s the case with Kadey-Krogen. Since day one, we set out to create the best trawler in the world. In order to achieve these lofty expectations, we adhere to rigid design and engineering specifications, and ensure we constantly perfect and evolve these standards. Every Kadey-Krogen yacht starts with the exclusive Pure Full Displacement™ hull form—a masterpiece design originally created by James S. Krogen. This form has ideal displacement-to-length ratios, a fine entry, and characteristic end-to-end symmetry—and never compromises strength. Additional attributes include: Only three molds used to create stronger structure Deep forefoot and high-aspect keel Kevlar reinforced collision bulkhead Large 3+ inch rubrail Corecell, closed cell PVC sandwich core used in topsides maximizes strength while reducing weight Well protected propeller behind keel and protective shoe
The Krogen 50 Open perfectly represents our company philosophy and dedicated focus. First it meets the first objective of delivering a comfortable and efficient long-range cruising yacht on our proven Pure Full Displacement hull form. Then it wipes the slate clean with a refreshing interior layout and use of space. The Open series draws inspiration from open-plan architecture. The pilothouse, galley, and saloon form one seamless space on the main deck, with a layout that invites entertainment and casual living on board. The main-deck interior is what sets the 50’ Open apart: The galley is located between the light-filled saloon and the pilothouse. Fit for a gourmet chef, the space is complete with a Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, Viking range, abundant storage, and 16 linear feet of counter space. The Krogen 50 Open is available with either an amidships master or an optional master-forward design. The amidships master arrangement has a retreat-like master stateroom that features an island queen berth, and an ensuite head with his-and-hers sinks, and a large walk-in shower. A spacious VIP cabin is situated forward and includes a deluxe queen berth and private head. A full-size washer and dryer and linen closet are conveniently located between the staterooms. A walk-in, stand-up engine room with an incredible six and a half feet of headroom houses either single or twin John Deer diesels and the industry’s finest systems and equipment. When experienced cruisers explore a Kadey-Krogen engine room, it’s often what they don’t see that makes as significant of an impression as what they do see. For one, we do not overload our designs with untried and unreliable equipment. To us, reliability and safety far outweigh experimenting with some new unproven piece of technology. Then everything is laid out for accessibility and ease of maintenance. If you’re able to machinery, chances are it will be better maintained. The Krogen 50 Open benefits from the same attention to weight distribution and utilization on reducing weight while maximizing strength. Hull construction includes use of American-made, Cook gelcoat. Hand-laid Knytex fiberglass construction with Corecell closed-cell PVC sandwich core is utilized in the topsides. Below the waterline you’ll find solid fiberglass with blister-resistant vinylester resin utilized on the first two laminates, with aramid fiber/FRP reinforcements. 1,240 gal. fuel capacity (single engine) 1 x 230-bhp John Deere diesel Twin John Deere diesels are optional Hinged radar arch 4,000-watt inverter Wing-stations with engine and thruster controls Proven Kadey-Krogen Pure Displacement Hull design
The Krogen 52 epitomizes the true essence of every Krogen built since 1977: an all-oceans-capable trawler yacht with incredible liveaboard accommodations for a couple or family. This is combined with a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that only a handful of boatbuilders achieve. The machinery and components we employ on the 52, and indeed every Krogen model, reflect our deep understanding that the open ocean is no place for inferior products. Highlights include John Deere engines, Northern Lights generators, ABT TRAC thrusters and stabilizers, ESI fuel-polishing systems and U.S. manufactured Cook gelcoat. All of these elements will ensure your Krogen 52 will take you the distance. Kadey-Krogen Yachts offers well-thought-out accommodations plans to tailor fit your cruising ambitions and family lifestyle. The flow from the covered aft deck, into the saloon and galley area creates an incredible amount of usable space. One mandatory element on any liveaboard passagemaker is the creation of distinct social and lounging areas to allow the crew to spread out and be apart while on passage. While the aft deck provides a perfect area to dive into the stack of books that has grown, the pilothouse settee and table could be mistaken for another main saloon area. Then a few decks down you’ll find the open office area, a trademark design feature going back to the original Krogen 42. On the 52, this area can also be converted into a third stateroom. The flybridge provides an additional social and relaxation area to spread out while headed over the horizon. A sound bluewater cruiser such as the Krogen 52 is often a sum of its parts. It’s not just one aspect or detail that makes a boat a truly successful all-ocean passagemaker, but every single element from mechanical system layout, hull design, use of interior space, and construction. Kadey-Krogen Yachts is specifically organized to ensure each and every model incorporates our decades of experience. Our project managers and in-house design and engineering staff will work with each customer to ensure their Krogen suits their specific needs, yet all of the foundational elements are already in place. For example, the entire Krogen 52 is built from only three molded pieces for maximized structural integrity. There are no additional secondary bonds or caulk joints that can inevitably cause issues. All deck and superstructures are cored and vacuum-bagged to maximize strength while minimizing weight. 1,400 gal. fuel capacity 1 x 231-hp John Deere diesel Blister-resistant vinylester resin utilized on first two laminates below the waterline, with aramid fiber reinforcements. Hull features six massive longitudinal stringers to deliver exceptional strength. The marine-grade plywood bulkheads all tied into stringers and encapsulated in fiberglass resin to eliminate moisture penetration. All fiberglass surfaces are ground smooth and then painted.
From concept to reality, the Grand Banks 62 is a must-see powerhouse on the water, designed and built to maximize comfort and efficiency without compromising on luxury. It achieves an impressive top speed of 30 knots and cruises comfortably at 27 knots, making it a true powerhouse while boasting exceptional fuel efficiency with a burn rate of only 38 gallons per hour at 20 knots. With an incredible range of 2,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots, the Grand Banks 62 is your perfect motor yacht for exploring distant horizons with owner-operator confidence. The Grand Banks 62 model builds on the success of the hugely popular Grand Banks 60, launched in 2017. Most noticeable, the additional interior volume of the GB62 allows for an enlarged starboard guest stateroom with an athwartships double bed and a single, as well as a utility area that incorporates the standard washer/dryer. With the additional length, Grand Banks added an ensuite head for this starboard guest cabin, creating an extremely comfortable and luxurious three-stateroom, three-head layout to maximize cruising comfort. The classic silhouette of the Grand Banks, complemented by a gracefully curved sheer line and an innovative hull design and construction process, provides a sophisticated profile that enhances aesthetics while also ensuring optimal performance and fuel efficiency. Expansive decks offer ample space for relaxation and entertaining, featuring wide side decks with high bulwarks and handholds, as well as an extended boat deck that shelters the aft deck from the elements. Careful attention to detail in the craftsmanship showcases the yacht's luxurious appeal, exemplifying the perfect blend of timeless elegance and functionality. Our interiors are a reminder that timeless elegance, indulgent luxury, and practical seamanship can all co-exist equally. The handcrafted wood finishes created by artisans, fine fabrics and leathers sewn by our own in-house upholstery team, and custom fit and finish to each owner's desires all combine to create a yacht that cannot be achieved by any other builder. Designed and engineered for enhanced rigidity by fusing the bulkheads and fixed furniture with the hull, our yachts feature meticulously planned internal layouts during the early design stages. This allows for flexibility in galley placement and stateroom configurations to optimize space utilization and storage. Our craftsmen take great care to ensure that every inch of the yacht is thoughtfully designed to enhance your enjoyment onboard.
