Ukulele is a magnificent aluminium OVNI 43 Sonate centreboarder, built in 1993 by the Alubat shipyard to a Philippe Briand design, purpose-built for bluewater and long-distance cruising.
Acquired by her current owner in 2023 in the Caribbean, she has since undergone numerous upgrades to enhance both comfort and safety. Among these: a fixed aluminium bimini, new sails (mainsail and staysail 2024), and new energy and autonomy systems.
Originally intended to sail to Polynesia via the Panama Canal, Ukulele arrived in Tahiti in October 2024 after a wonderful voyage, with a few last idyllic island stopovers. She is now ready to welcome her next owner for fresh adventures.
The OVNI 43 Ukulele offers 3 comfortable cabins plus a saloon convertible into an extra berth. Her impressive energy capacity includes 900 W of solar panels, a 140 L/h watermaker, a wind generator, and a generator, ensuring total self-sufficiency at sea.
With her shallow draft of just 0.80 m keel up, she can reach the most remote Polynesian lagoons, while her chine aluminium hull guarantees strength and safety in all seas.
