Description
GULLWING (name is reserved) is hull #5 of our very much sought after Wasque 30's. Only 10 of these boats were built and seeing one on the market is a rarity. GULLWING with her teak hardtop is one of the most talked about and admired Downeast hulls in Marblehead Harbor.
When we built this boat I invited Jarvis Newman out for a test ride. As we rowed out to the boat he told me how happy he was with the look we achieved with our new deck mold. The placement of the teak eyebrow and the elegant look of the teak windshield. It's a winner he said! Starting the engine and heading out of the harbor he remarked on how quiet and vibration free the engine was (thanks to plenty of insulation and the Aquadrive CV shaft/thrust bearing we built into all our Wasque 30's).
The Wasque 30 cruises wonderfully at 18-20 knots and tops out at 26 knots. Her topsides are Flag Blue Awlgrip with white boot, white cabin house and Moondust beige nonskid surfaces.
Gullwing was the first and only hardtop Wasque 30. Her coamings were extended aft to accommodate the teak windshield structure, overhead hatches and sliding side windows create an open, airy feel.
GULLWING is in Marblehead and can be seen by appointment.
Accommodations
GULLWING has a large vee-berth forward, with filler for extra space. Aft to starboard is the enclosed head with shower handle/faucet, and marine head. Across to port is the galley with a stainless sink, refrigerator, and alcohol stove. GULLWING's interior is finished in satin varnished teak.
Up two steps to the bridge deck is the helm station to starboard, with Raymarine radar and plotter, and engine gauges. A custom helm seat is to starboard, and a bench seat that attaches to the engine cover seating as well. Aft in the cockpit is a full bench across the stern.
