Description
"Labalabala" was first commissioned in 1986 as a Patrol boat for the Canadian Coast Guard. After 10 years, it began the civilian portion of it's journey.
The new owner embarked upon a very extensive 10 year refit using nothing but first quality components. Consulting directly with bluewater yacht designer Bruce Roberts, it was meant to sail to Belize and thus was fitted with 2 efficient 100% duty cycle rated 117hp diesel engines oversized shafts and transmissions.
Cruising along at 8 knots, it consumes 15 l/hr.
Construction
Fiberglass foam core hull painted white and orange; teal non-skid decks; blue bottom; bow & stern pulpit and rails; hydraulic steering.
Accommodations
This vessel can sleep a total of eight (8) onboard.
Electric head; macerator and shower.
Galley is equipped with single stainless steel sink; 110 volt refrigeration; freezer; two burner stove w/oven; water capacity is 150L in two tanks; hot & cold pressure water.
Engine and Electrical
Twin 1996 Mitsubishi 117hp diesel engines; three stainless steel fuel tanks.
The electrical system is maintained through the charging of 5 batteries; alternator; battery charger; 110 volt electrical panel; circuit breakers; 110 volt shore power w/cord.
