Meet ANTSIVA, the 28-meter oceanographic sailing vessel that has shaped scientific exploration across the Indian Ocean for more than two decades. From the Mozambique Channel to the untouched archipelagos of Europa, Juan de Nova and the Glorieuses, she’s been the trusted platform for 51 missions and over 200 embarked scientists.
Built in aluminium and designed as a sustainable multipurpose logistic platform, ANTSIVA delivers what few vessels can: long-range endurance, extremely low fuel consumption, and the freedom to reach places most ships simply can’t.

ACCOMMODATION
- Comfortable accommodation for 12-14 people, in 5 cabins
- 4 aft cabins : 3 double cabins and 1 single
- One forward cabin with 4 beds and a desk space
- 2 x heads/showers compartments
- One large lounge for meeting, relaxing or watching video
- A desk space and chart table
- One large saloon/galley area for meals.
- In the center of the boat, a vast technical space of 20m² accessible by a watertight door is divided into 3 parts :
- an area for laboratory / freezing
- an area for storing bulky equipment : (possibility to store 10 tons of equipment for a volume of 20 m3)
- a complete workshop to carry out most repairs on board
- This space is modular and can be adapted to the needs of each expedition. There are large openings on the deck (145 × 85) to board bulky equipment.
- A 220V 63Amps power outlet with an equivalent breaker is available to power various devices.
- Two smaller forward holds offer a large additional storage capacity.
Engine Room:
- Accessed via a watertight door, a vast engine room of 33m3
- Insulation with wool rock, polyurethane foam and explosion proof stainless stell plate
- A workshop space with shelves and organised storage areas.

- A CO2 firefighting station, fitted with alarm and remote trigger
CONSTRUCTION
Hull, Deck & Superstructure :
- The hull, deck and superstructure are built of marine aluminum alloy 5083 and 5086 H111.
- The keel plate is 16/12/8mm. The bottom plates are 12/16mm. The hull sides, 10/12mm in the middle and the top sides are 6mm. The deck, roof and cockpit are 5mm.
- A retractable keel.
- The yacht can be beached on the bottom .
- The ballast of 7.5 tons of lead in the lower part of the keel
- 4 watertight bulkheads.
- The hull is insulated above the waterline with 180mm rock wool and polyurethane foam and the underside of the deck with 100mm.
Keel & Rudder:
- A retractable keel in aluminium built to a NACA profile
- An hydraulic jack to raise and lower the keel
- Double rudders in 8mm aluminum built to a NACA profile.
- Rudder stock in aluminium, diameter 100 mm, with Ertalon rings.
Cathodic protection :
- 2 x sacrificial anode on the keel.

Hydraulics
- A hydraulic pump attached to the port propulsion engine (electromagnetic clutch) is used to raise the keel and anchors.
- Another, smaller power unit (2.2 kW) is located below the mainmast and is used to operate the furler and the vang.
- Another power unit is located forward (3 kW) and is used for the genoa and the 1.2-ton derrick.
- A final one in the helm room (2.2 kW) is coupled to the autopilot.

Voltage Systems:

- The vessel has a 230V AC with numerous european type outlets fitted throughout the vessel
- The domestic supply is fed from either one of the 3 generators or a Victron Charger Inverter
- In addition to the standard european power outlets, there is 2 industrial 16A 380V AC shorepower type outlet in the laboratory aera and on the deck and one 63A 220V for high load tools/equipment.
Battery Banks :
- Service battery bank : dedicated to domestic supply and navigation instruments : total capacity 1120Ah in 24V
- Each propulsion engine and generator has its own dedicated battery bank
- Engine start: 24V (120Ah) battery.

TANKAGE
Fuel :
- Total fuel capacity approx. 7 200L, in 3 tanks
- Fuel is transferred to the day tank via a manifold using either a 230V DC electric pump. During the fuel transfer process all fuel passes through two fuel filters, Racor turbine/water separator and a disposable paper filter. The fuel transfer manifold also includes separate shutoff valves for all diesel services.
- Further Racor turbine filters are fitted on the Engine Room and supply Engines and Generators.
