Description
INTRODUCTION:
The Hatteras 70 CPMY from the 1980s is a classic American luxury yacht renowned for its durability, craftsmanship, and seaworthiness. Built by Hatteras Yachts, founded in 1959 in North Carolina, the Hatteras 70 CPMY featured spacious interiors, multiple staterooms, and powerful engine options, making it ideal for extended cruising, offshore fishing, and entertaining. During the 1980s, it helped solidify Hatteras’s reputation as a top builder of rugged, high-performance yachts that combined comfort and luxury for serious yachtsmen. Known for its solid fiberglass construction and classic design, the 70 CPMY was a symbol of quality and reliability, often used for long-range cruising and liveaboard lifestyles, and remains a sought-after model among enthusiasts and collectors today.
Built new in 1989, Nother Venture was delivered from the factory with an 8-foot hull extension, giving her a notably larger aft cockpit and enhanced deck space compared to standard models. In 2015, she underwent a comprehensive top-to-bottom refit, including complete GM engine rebuilds and numerous system upgrades. Now, ten years later, in 2025, Nother Venture stands ready for her next adventure — with only a few minor projects remaining for her next owner to complete. Offering remarkable capability and value for her size and class, she represents an outstanding opportunity on today’s market.
