Description
SNAPPER is an EYE CATCHER, built by JARVIS NEWMAN with her interior finished by LEE WILBER. If you are looking for a True Down East Yacht, you should certainly consider SNAPPER. She has all the pedigree of a fine Down East Yacht. Her construction is solid hand laid fiberglass with bonded bulkheads and glassed stringers. Her deck is fiberglass over marine plywood. The boat was well maintained by her original owner and her current second owner has continued with her loving care, having the boat taken boat the Jarvis Newman multiple times for upgrade and improvements.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
SNAPPER can comfortably accommodate a cruising. Down below and forward you will find a v-berth/settee. When the insert is in place the berth becomes a spacious double and when removed makes two settees for sitting, reading or dinning when to removable table is put in place. (There is storage under the settees.) Ambient light and ventilation are provided by an overhead opening hatch and three (3) opening bronze port lights. There are reading lights at each settee. Aft to starboard is a large hanging locker and storage bin, and in enclosed head with marine toilet. Opposite to port is the ship's galley with SS Sink and two (2) burner propane cook top and ice box. The interior trim and joiner work is Teak with Pine Ceiling Strips. Head room is approximately 6".
HELM and COCKPIT:
The Helm Station with Bronze Spoked Wheel and full instrumentation is to starboard with Captain's Chair under an extended hardtop. Port and Starboard Windshield have wipers, the starboard windshield opens for ventilation. Engine access is through a large deck hatch. There are two (2) additional  below deck storage compartments with hatches. There is a teak slide-away aft bench seat with cushion for comfortable seating when needed but easily tucked away if you want more room for fishing. The cockpit is self bailing.
