Bayliner 266 Discovery

A portable heater is also included for keeping the engine compartment warm in weather below 29 degrees. Anchor can be lowered and raised from helm or with foot controls on prow. Bow spotlight rotates up and down with 360 degree coverage using a toggle switch by helm. The MerCruiser 5.0L MPI Bravo III ECT (260 Hp) stern drive engine has new catalytic converters, refurbished cylinders, and only 348 hours. The Mercury Bravo Three outdrive uses two stainless steel 21P props - a 4-blade 15.9 inch diameter front prop and a 3-blade 15 inch diameter rear prop. During a recent outing we cruised at 34 knots with the engine running smoothly at a steady hum. She runs great and a Boat History Report is available upon request.  The 266 Discovery is one fearless, all-weather craft. Captain and crew are shielded from the elements thanks to a protected helm with hardtop enclosure and comfortable cabin below deck. Full zip-on enclosure and extra table available for rear seating area. And at nearly 26 feet long, the 266 remains trailerable, bringing any lake, river or offshore destination within reach. (We do not have a trailer). Its inviting immaculate like new interior with forward berth and convertible dinette makes the 266 your wilderness cabin on the water. The galley includes a single-burner, alcohol/electric stove. This type of stove offers flexibility for cooking while docked with shore power or while cruising by utilizing the onboard alcohol fuel supply. The galley also includes a dual-voltage refrigerator, microwave, and stainless steel sink with faucet making meal prep easy and enjoyable, whether docked or anchored far offshore. And with its soft guest bunk, the rear quarter-berth makes a comfy onboard hideaway. New beautiful cushions in all inside cabin berthing and dining areas. Full bath with shower, this 266 has all the conveniences. The 2011 Bayliner 266 Discovery also came with A/C and Heat as standard equipment in the cabin (only used once and worked well). Well maintained and runs great. This vessel is your ideal camper on the water. And the swim platform and tow hooks make tubing with your kids easy and fun. We hope you like our boat. We are selling because the boat was primarily for our dad who is no longer with us.  Note: Although the boat has been well maintained, there are items like the Bimini and front window cover that are a bit worn. The instrument and switch panels are also somewhat weathered - a new instrument panel is included but has not been installed. And a few areas of gray paint around the window frames need touching up. Everything works (that we know of) except the stereo controller next to the helm. It displays the station playing but you cannot change the channel. You can only change stations inside the cabin.
