The Islander 30 Mark II, a classic cruiser from 1975 that embodies timeless elegance and robust performance. With an overall length of 30 feet, this vessel features a durable fiberglass hull designed in a displacement shape, ensuring stability and comfort on the water. Powered by a reliable and strong Yanmar 3GM30F with 27 HP (recent new water pump and mixing elbow and serviced heat exchanger), this Islander promises a cruising speed of 6.5 mph, perfect for leisurely voyages.
Pallas Athena is equipped with an electric Anchorlift windlass with foot switches and cockpit control toggle switch, enhancing convenience during anchoring. The top of the line 10 kg Rocna anchor with 50 ft. chain and 320 ft. rope ensure that you can always anchor with peace of mind.
The power from the 155 W flexible solar panel on dodger mount enables you to comfortably run the fridge and stay in your favourite anchorage as long as you wish.2 AGM house batteries. With a full set of top-line Raymarine nav instruments (wind meter, depth sounder, knot meter), Ritchie compass, a Raymarine 2000 autopilot ( including even a remote control!) as well as a Garmin chart plotter with chart chips covering the whole BC coast, Pallas Athena offers all modern, reliable navigation equipment for cruising or racing. All standing rigging and lifelines replaced new in 2014. Radar reflectors.
With a well-thought-out dinette layout (table also converts to spacious bed), v-berth and aft quarter berth, this Islander 30 sleeps 4-5. Lots of storage.
A two burner propane stove with oven, refrigeration incl. freezer compartment, a diesel-operated Espar heater with three air outlets, stereo and a marine toilet with holding tank and macerator pump are some of the many upgrades that will make the difference in comfort for extended trips in all weather. Layout
Double V-berth in forward cabin, followed by an enclosed head with sink . The main salon follows with a single settee to port, and the dinette, which makes down into a double berth to starboard. The galley follows aft to port and there is a single quarterberth aft to starboard. Headroom is 6' 2".
