Description

This 73 Riverhawk is the fastest Survey boat in the world today. Originally built as a design/build program for Riverhawk for a Defense Contract Bid for the Department of Defense as a patrol boat. She can carry a crew of 6 to 12 people. Has a range of 500 NM. Originally built for a cost of $10,000,000.

The boat was built by RiverHawk in Tampa for ~10,000,000 USD (original equipment list provided). The owners acquired it with only 200 operating hours in 2018 through a court approved sale in Florida. The vessel was moved to Canada where it underwent a significant upgrade for ~2,000,000 CAD to bring it to commercial certification standards in Canada because it was designed and built to US Naval Code, not commercial. This involved a full replacement of the electrical systems, new mast and nav equipment, radars, dual ECDIS, GMDSS, NAVTEX, met equipment and installation of several safety systems to meet code. We therefore have a very comprehensive Technical Data Package including all approved drawings and tech data that anyone could ever want. Additionally, the vessel was converted to a hydrographic survey vessel so quite a number of survey related equipment was installed. The owner operated the vessel since then in Canada, including the arctic, as well as in the US to support survey work.

Originally built as a design/ build program for Riverhawk for the Defense Department for use as a Patrol Boat, Escort Boat and to apprehend criminals at sea for a price tag of $10,000,000. Converted to use as the fastest survey boat in the world but could be converted back to her original purpose.
