The SW 16 skiff is designed to be very stable side to side, and tip to tail, and to float very shallow. Our bottom width is 54", and our beam is 78". We want our boat owners to feel stable when leaning over the gunwale, and to be comfortable navigating obstructions when running under motor. The hull bottom is flat from near the bulk head to the transom with three raised 1" ribs. There is a very shallow "v" on our hull bottom just forward of the bulk head to cut chop. Designed to be very stable side to side, tip to tail, and to float very shallow.Pictured below drafting in less than 2” with a 4 stroke 30 horse and a guy up front.We want our owners to feel comfortable when leaning over the gunwale netting a State Record, and to be confident navigating shallow rocky waters.The hull bottom is flat from the transom to the bulkhead with three raised 1” ribs for enhanced tracking.Features a very shallow "v" on our hull bottom just forward of the bulk head running forward to the bow to cut chop.Designed to have significant side wall angle moving forward from mid-ship to the bow. I purchased the1988 SCARAB KV on March 17, 2005. This boat is the "Miami Vice" edition. Over the past 20 years of owning it has been kept under roof and only used on lake/river waters. Power - Upon receipt the boat had 502's at 460 hp, Borgwarner transmissions and Mercrusier TRS stern drives driving 4 blade stainless steel Bravo 1 propellers. This overhaul took place in 2002 replacing the original 454's at 330 hp each. I replaced both engines with 540,s at 600 hp June 1st 2016. The engines were dynoed and have the printed documentation. Current hours on these engines is 170 hours. I moved from Cincinnati to Indianapolis and this vessel sat idle for for 5 years Vessel - SCARAB Racing - Hull Number - WELP4366B888 Net Weight 9100 lbs Builder Wellcraft "SCARB 38 KV Construction Molded Fiberglass Electronics - Radio 1 VHF, Compass Aquameter power damped 6 in. The bottom was completely sanded and a Teflon coating was applied. The Nextrail aluminum tri axle trailer is 47' long and has been customized for this boat. It has brand new brakes and tires on all all six rims. I have owned this boat for 20 years.It is more than fun, loud and attracts a lot of attention. It is a 1988 and this exact model was used on the "Miami Vice" tv show starring Don Johnson. Many boaters know this and I have been called Vice Man many times.
