Mike’s vision to build a new classic styled model started to become more than just an idea back in early April 2020 when discussions and sketches between Mike and Arthur ( Nelson designer) soon resulted in drawings flying back and for in earnest. Those early days in lockdown provided a window of space and an uninterrupted time to reflect on what Mike really wanted to achieve from this latest design. Mike had already received unprecedented interest in both our Classic 35 and Classic 45 and there was an appetite out in the market for a beautifully built boat with classic styling but of a more manageable size than our iconic 45 and more accommodation than our 35. In reality, the 37 provides the 45 accommodation and wheelhouse, in a smaller boat, with the same acclaimed underwater semi displacement hull shape used on our DALE 40. All in all, a lot of boat with classic styling and pedigree for cruising with confidence, reassurance and security.

Designed for hassle-free, high performance in the lightest to heaviest weathers, the graceful, well-set, balanced lines are from top naval architects judel/vrolijk & co. Interior styling is by superyacht stars Wetzels Brown, who introduce two identical, half-beam, VIP double guest suites forward of the saloon. We’ve taken inspiration from the design of the Arcona 435, European Yacht of the Year Performance Cruiser winner in 2019, and the evolution of the flagship Arcona 465 to make the Arcona 345 modern inside and out. The Arcona 345 has a slightly larger sail area than the Arcona 340 to give optimised upwind performance. There is the option to have twin wheels configured which can be upgraded to carbon. Fitted with a powerful fractional rig, the Arcona 345 sports a tapered, twin spreader, keel-stepped mast and is prepped for spinnaker equipment. For strength and stability, the bulb keel is made of antimony hardened lead. The transom is open with an integral bathing platform. The large storage locker aft is accessible from two recessed hatches in the cockpit floor.
