The DALE 28 was conceived to meet the needs of both new as well as long standing DALE clients who wanted to downsize whilst retaining the sea keeping and quality to which they were accustomed. A large socialising space in the wheelhouse and cockpit area as well as a cabin for two plus occasional berths for a further two were top of their list. Putting everything that is special about a DALE into 28 feet was a challenge that we just couldn’t resist. After achieving the hull design to give the sea-keeping and ease of handling expected of a DALE, our next aim was to use the architecture to create a boat with spacious accommodation for two, the comfort of full standing headroom, a large wheelhouse and cockpit for total enjoyment of cruising, living on board and socialising. We build each boat bespoke for you and just like any other DALE, there is a sense of discreet luxury and attention to detail. The Nelson inspired timeless styling tells others that this is a boat with solidity that is unsurpassed. In addition, adapted from the DALE Classic 45, the wheelhouse helm seat slides forward electrically at the push of a button for when in port creating a more spacious seating area which converts into an extra double berth. Bonded flush wheelhouse side and front windows with their style taken from our new Dale 40 gives a sleek and more modern finish to complement the classic style and twin engines with joystick manoeuvring deliver a top speed of 29 knots plus. We can’t wait to test her on the water, especially considering the similarity in hull shape to the DALE 23 but with softer sections. The 26-metre Contest 85CS clearly demonstrates the strengths in Contest Yachts’ long-term collaboration with world class designers judel/vrolijk & co and Wetzels Brown Partners. Designed for fast passage with powerful, practical, deep-ocean cruising capability, the Contest 85CS is easily sailed, managed and maintained by short-handed crew, and perfectly set both to sail the world and enjoy sailing’s high society. This is our first step into the fully crewed 80+ foot sector and is made in design partnership with celebrated German naval architects judel/vrolijk & co, combining their performance design expertise with our proven, innovative construction practices completed with Lloyds’ plan approval and hull certification. The Contest 85CS will provide for both distance cruising and regatta participation as well as very social sailing, extending the potential for performance cruising of both new and upsizing owners with comfortable capacity for up to ten guests in a customisable interior arrangement.

The Contest 67CS marks the first steps in a long term collaboration with German design team judel/vrolijk & co, renowned for powerful yachts, both racing and cruising, offshore and ocean. That combined experience results in easily driven, sea kindly, handsome yachts, which neatly defines this 21-metre bluewater performance cruiser, the Contest 67CS. Fast with such simple control both upwind and down, she's remarkably stable and easily sailed by short-handed crew, making light equally of long voyaging or regatta participation. Her accommodation plan for up to eight guests, in anything up to four cabins, with the option of master suite forward or aft, and similarly galley and cew either end, presents great opportunity to personalise this very highly technically specified and exceptionally quiet yacht.
