Mike’s vision to build a new classic styled model started to become more than just an idea back in early April 2020 when discussions and sketches between Mike and Arthur ( Nelson designer) soon resulted in drawings flying back and for in earnest. Those early days in lockdown provided a window of space and an uninterrupted time to reflect on what Mike really wanted to achieve from this latest design. Mike had already received unprecedented interest in both our Classic 35 and Classic 45 and there was an appetite out in the market for a beautifully built boat with classic styling but of a more manageable size than our iconic 45 and more accommodation than our 35. In reality, the 37 provides the 45 accommodation and wheelhouse, in a smaller boat, with the same acclaimed underwater semi displacement hull shape used on our DALE 40. All in all, a lot of boat with classic styling and pedigree for cruising with confidence, reassurance and security.

Developing the concept for a new project is, above all, a journey. It is an experience where the only limit is your imagination, on a quest for sensations, for materials, geometries and forms – to express the essence of a style that must be utterly unique, in every aspect. We have not settled for dreaming up an ingenious concept with state-of-the-art technical solutions, increasingly inspired interiors, and living spaces of unprecedented comfort. We pushed ahead, even further, in space and time. Until we were absolutely certain that we had found the new essence of Ferretti Yachts, the quintessence of wellbeing and style.
At a size allowing four spacious guest cabins and fully enclosable galley and crew quarters, the Contest 72CS, flagship of the Contest fleet, provides the perfect platform for both owner driver or skipper and crew assisted sailing. And the nature of wide ranging options spans just about every element of this truly semi-custom build, with bulkhead positioning almost the only constraint. Deliveries to date span full carbon rig with Park Lane boom and 3Di moulded sails to alloy spars and vertically battened Vectra with in-mast furling. With one approach racing, one cruising, one more private with forward galley, one inclusive with aft U-shaped galley, choice and specification is entirely personal. Beneath this freedom, there lies extensive design engineering pre-empting likelihoods with proven practice and application. This is such a trait of Contest and a powerful differentiator. With her amazing spaces, unexpected headroom and abundance of areas to enjoy, she takes the cruising experience to a new level. She is the fruit of a partnership between our Product Strategy Committee and the Engineering department – the second yacht with external design by Salvetti and Ferretti Group, with interiors by our own architects and designers. The spacious master cabin echoes the play of colours and materials that grace the main deck, in a peerless private setting that’s a joy to discover.The minimalist yet detailed design provides a continual counterpoint to the walk-in wardrobe and the grand bathroom, where the smoked-glass inserts and functionality of form are in tune with current trends. The winning style of this desirable new model is based on a blend of contrasting textures. The striped ceiling, the ribbed surface of the walls, the grid-pattern headboards and the lounge furniture’s oblique-stripe motif play off one another in a profound natural harmony. The lighting design is an attribute that is unique to the 720. Horizontal LEDs integrate into the ceilings to create a soft, diffuse effect, while independent vertical spotlights with adjustable beams pick out original features with scenic flair.It all adds up to a sublime experience of genuine cruising comfort.
IDEA 58 OPEN is the perfect boat for those looking for comfort and design in a vessel with relatively small dimensions, but which it can comfortably accommodate a family for wonderful days of fun and relaxation on board! Idea 58 Open Line (like its little sister Idea 53) can be equipped with a 40hp engine that will allow you to fully enjoy the sea even if you don’t have a boating license.
A stand out boat in so many ways, the Contest 52MC Fastlane is a spectacularly successful design – especially so as she is Contest Yachts’ first ever motor boat in this league. The press can’t get enough of her, loving her looks and her handling which they say astounds, her innovative, half-planing hull riding as though on rails, tracking straight and staying flat right through the tightest of turns. With power options from twin 350hp to 550hp diesels she’s equally comfortable at 8 or 28 knots, and soft rides through the nastiest chop. The joint creation of longstanding design partner Georg Nissen, the well known boat engineering and designer company Vripack and the yard’s own in-house design team, the 52MC is also an unusually versatile performance platform, available in Flybridge and Open Sport eas well as Fastlane f versions. Interior layouts are customisable, too, building out of a raised saloon and two heads, three sleeping cabin standard plan.
We’ve designed the SportJet 460 to fit on 25m+ yachts, carrying upto 6 passenger in ultimate comfort and style. With its purpose-built hull designed to sit firmly in the water, the SportJet 460 offers an exceptionally comfortable cruising experience, ensuring stability and straight-line navigation along the coast. The Arcona 415 is equipped with a Yanmar 3JH40C x SD60-5-223S as standard and can be upgraded to a diesel 4JH45C x SD60-5-223S. The Arcona 415 can also be upgraded to an Oceanvolt Servoprop 15kW electric propulsion system, with variable pitch propeller technology and comes with a 23.2kWh* battery pack. A 15kW electric motor is the equivalent of a 50hp diesel engine on our 40-43ft yachts.
