ABEKING RASMUNSSEN YACHT IN EXCEPTIONAL RESTORATION CONDITION - VESSEL OF HERITAGE INTEREST - REDUCED SLIP COST - BENEFITING FROM A SLIP AT THE MARITIME MUSEUM OF LA ROCHELLE - A GREAT NUMBER OF RECENT OR NEW ELEMENTS - LATEST NEW MAIN MAST - ONE YEAR OF ASSURED SUPPORT - A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!! DESCRIPTION: LA GAILLARDE: a classic boat designed for fast, comfortable, and safe cruising, by ABEKING and RASMUSSEN in 1939. Perfectly maintained by its successive owners (6) by renowned shipyards (Campers & Nicholson, Fernand Hervé…), skilled in woodworking. Manageable with a crew of 2, LA GAILLARDE has 6 berths distributed in 2 double cabins + 2 additional berths in the saloon, with all the comforts of a modern boat. A member of the Classic Yacht Club, La GAILLARDE sails every year, covering about 3000 miles, in its sailing area from Portugal to Ireland and England. Its recent and rich sail inventory (15 sails), revised every year, allows it to sail in all weather conditions. Built of solid uncaulked teak, on bent oak frames, copper riveted, always fully varnished and regularly checked (keel bolts changed, riveting redone (2016), deck and superstructure redone 2012). Rigging and sails revised in 2019. All interior fittings and equipment (engine, electronics, comfort elements, …) redone in 2016. The boat is classified BIP (Heritage Interest Vessel – see site https://www.patrimoine-maritime-fluvial.org/navires-du-patrimoine/navires-bip-search/la-gaillarde/), it is accessible for classification as a "Historic Monument" if the new owner wishes (this classification allows access to certain financial advantages - port places, maintenance work, access to privileged areas, …). It has a year-round slip at the Maritime Museum of La Rochelle under specific financial conditions. La GAILLARDE has been the subject of several articles in the nautical press: - LE YACHT from April 7, 1951, on the interest of the ketch rig with winsbone (with a photo by Beken and a sail plan of the boat in the article) - BATEAU from January 1959 - CAHIERS DU YACHTING from July 1971 - LOISIRS NAUTIQUES from July 1992 - YACHT CLUB CLASSIQUE from 2019 - VOILES & VOILIERS from June 2020 (in an article related to woodworking) - Etc… Equipment: • Sail inventory: 15 sails (all recent) (Symmetrical Spi, Asymmetrical Spy, Balloon Jib, Genoa, Yankee (2), Storm Jib, Trinquette, Misaine, Fisherman (3), Mainsail) • Diesel engine, VOLVO 4 cyl. 750h, 65 hp, hydraulic propulsion, • Lithium battery bank, 500 Amp.
