The 2024 boating season has officially kicked off and we are rapidly approaching Boot Düsseldorf. No that is not a typo - “boot” is German for “boat”, party people! Covering a vast 220,000 square meters across 16 exhibition halls, this remarkable event attracts almost 237,000 visitors from over 60 countries. This year the show will take place from January 20,2024 to January 28, 2024. Boot definitely draws one of the most international crowds you’ll see at a boat show. Even my mom has been! She grew up in the small town of Herrenberg, which is about a five hour drive from Düsseldorf (ja, ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch.)

The Show

What sets Boot apart globally is not only its fun-to-say-name but also its impressive scale and engaging stage programs. These feature captivating interviews with industry experts, the latest trend sports offerings, and a rich mix of workshops and activities tailored for both leisure sports enthusiasts and seasoned experts alike.

With more than 1,500 exhibitors representing 68 nations, it stands as an unparalleled showcase of the global yachting and watersports community. Whether you're an avid sailor or a motor boater, boot Düsseldorf offers an extensive range of options to find your perfect boat. From dinghies to center consoles to super luxury vessels, the diversity of choices is truly wunderbar. The show's focus extends beyond boats, with a spotlight on various water sports such as diving, surfing, skimboarding, kite surfing, stand-up paddling, or canoeing, complemented by a comprehensive array of corresponding equipment. And if you’re a fan of German cuisine, the schnitzel and spaetzle is reason enough to attend.

If you're truly looking to compare a variety of boats side by side, there's no better place than Boot Düsseldorf. Here’s a list of some of the most anticipated models to check out at this year’s show. Viel Spaß beim Einkaufen!
