Description
Selling a Bertram 33 Convertible with dual helm and newer Mercruiser 383s. This boat has an unbeleavablely sturdy and sea worthy hull. Never shakes, rattles, or slams as it cuts through offshore conditions. The twin 383s with brand new carbs make the nearly 24,000lbs boat jump out of the water and cruise at over 22kts. Engines were installed about 6 years ago (I was told) and I've put about 100 hours on them since owning.
Overall the hull is in great shape as are the engines but there is some work to be done. Inside seating and birthing have been removed with the intent to rebuild but a back injury has prevented me from moving foward. This can be an outstanding and seaworthy boat with a little time and money.
I calculated that about $10,000 ($15,000 with new electronics) and a 2-3 weeks of work can get this boat tip top and very comfortable. I've listed the work that has been done since the last 3 years as well as what I know needs to be fixed below. Boat also comes with a list of new parts I intended to install but never did.
New (last 3 years)
• Carburetors (Summer 24')
• Windless and anchor rope
• Batteries and 3 cell charger
• Spark plugs, water pumps
• Shafts, props, cuttless bearing, engine mounts
• Some updated wiring
• Sterio and speakers
• Depth finder
• Lower helm gauges
• Bilge pumps
• Toilet macerator pump
Needs Attention
• Sbd engine timing adjustment
• Sbd engine pulley speaks
• Lower berthing area needs hull covers (ripped out old carpet), and cushions.
• Interior seating/couches
• A few gauges need to be replaces but all major engine gauges work.

• Some canvas work and cushion upulstry
• HW heater needs to be attached but worked
• Gas generator likely needs to be rebuilt (never tried starting or fixing it)
• Some small fiberglass work (spider webbing, old screw holes, etc) but nothing major or structural.

• Upper helm wind deflector cracked.
