Able to handle peak power of 40 watts, the waterproof MA840 box speaker from Poly Planar is protected by a durable plastic housing. Other tough elements of the speaker include a stainless-steel grill, a polypropylene main cone, a mylar tweeter and a plastic frame.

The speaker measures 4 inches high, 4 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep, and is designed to fit in corners and other tight spaces. Mounting brackets with gimbals make the speaker's direction adjustable.

The speaker produces a minimal magnetic field, which means, according to the manufacturer, it can be mounted near navigational equipment or sensitive electronics without affecting their operation.
