Sold standard with a screw-in backing plate, the Skyblazer XLT 3 signal kit can be mounted to a boat's bulkhead or gunwale. That the kit can be mounted in clear reach — and in a fixed position — rather than stowed where, in an emergency, access to it might not be fast or convenient.
The kit contains three XLT aerial flares, three Koolhandle hand-held flares, a 10-mile signal mirror with a lanyard, emergency whistle with lanyard and an international an distress flag with grommets and ties.
The XLT aerial flares reach a launch altitude of up to 500' and burn for up to 8-1/2 seconds. They are the only flares on the market with positive-sealing, protective screw caps, and they are waterproof.
