VENTURA, Calif — Starting with the March issue, Powerboat magazine now can be found on the newsstand at West Marine stores in the United States. The March issue will be available starting in late February. Based in Santa Cruz, Calif., the retail chain has more than 250 locations.

"This reflects our efforts to get Powerboat on more newsstands across the country," said Associate Publisher Victoria Newton. "When people are in West Marine picking up supplies they can also grab a copy of the magazine."

Powerboat is celebrating its 35th year of publishing in 2003 and is the oldest publication dedicated to covering performance boating. The magazine is published 11 times a year with a combined October and November issue. Powerboat has won numerous Maggie awards from the Western Publications Association and writing honors from Boating Writers International.
