Our electronics expert Lenny Rudow took a ride on the Simrad marine electronics test boat at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, to see the company's new offerings. Front and center was the new Simrad NSO Evo2 electronics system. The Evo2 is based on a black-box with dual quad-core processors. That means it can output to two independent video sources, and controlled via either touch-screen MFDs or a wired keypad remote. What's really surprising, however, is just how small this system is - even though it's more powerful than its predecessor. Watch the video, to see a Simrad NSO Evo2 installed behind the helm of a 36 Yellowfin - you'll be shocked at just how neat and compact it turns out to be.
