The frame of the telescopic gangway is constructed of stainless steel, while the walkway surface is made of teak. The unit consists of two sections; one section remains stationary while the other slides or "telescopes" to a create a total gangway length of seven feet. According to manufacturer-supplied specifications on the product, the gangway has an estimated loading capacity of 353 pounds.
In the retracted position, the telescopic gangway is less than 4 feet long, which makes it easy to stow and transport.
The product is available with either manual or automatic stanchions. Other options include a radio receiver for remote control and an electronic control unit.
