This is the eagerly awaited, first aft cockpit model touching the 50-foot market that Contest has served so specifically well for many decades with centre cockpit yachts. And she arrives with a flourish as clients long appreciating the approach of the aft cockpit Contest 42CS now have a bigger sister to enjoy. The all-new model Contest 49CS is already in build and being a Contest extends new levels of comfort and reliability into the open aft cockpit sector. And looking to environmental considerations, options include an all-electric propulsion system, renewable energy sources and teak deck replacement. This completely new and innovative design also brings not only huge leisure areas both forward and aft of the neatly planned inboard twin helms stations, but down below unusually spacious mirrored twin aft cabins, plus large master suite forward. It is a new scale of interior plan, with a three-cabin arrangement perfect for safe, performance family sailing. It also brings the benefits of space for a tender garage as well as a submersible bathing platform.

The Arcona 415 is equipped with a Yanmar 3JH40C x SD60-5-223S as standard and can be upgraded to a diesel 4JH45C x SD60-5-223S. The Arcona 415 can also be upgraded to an Oceanvolt Servoprop 15kW electric propulsion system, with variable pitch propeller technology and comes with a 23.2kWh* battery pack. A 15kW electric motor is the equivalent of a 50hp diesel engine on our 40-43ft yachts.

Designed for fast passage with powerful, practical, deep-ocean cruising capability, the Contest 85CS is easily sailed, managed and maintained by short-handed crew, and perfectly set both to sail the world and enjoy sailing’s high society. This is our first step into the fully crewed 80+ foot sector and is made in design partnership with celebrated German naval architects judel/vrolijk & co, combining their performance design expertise with our proven, innovative construction practices completed with Lloyds’ plan approval and hull certification. The Contest 85CS will provide for both distance cruising and regatta participation as well as very social sailing, extending the potential for performance cruising of both new and upsizing owners with comfortable capacity for up to ten guests in a customisable interior arrangement.

Ideal for sailing by two or for racing with crew, the 34ft/10.4m Arcona 345 is set to be a new favourite performance cruiser on the racecourse and indeed for cruising with family and friends. Her predecessor, the Arcona 340, successfully captured the hearts of many owners and was nominated in the category Performance Cruiser for the European Yacht of the Year 2010. We’ve taken inspiration from the design of the Arcona 435, European Yacht of the Year Performance Cruiser winner in 2019, and the evolution of the flagship Arcona 465 to make the Arcona 345 modern inside and out. The Arcona 345 has a slightly larger sail area than the Arcona 340 to give optimised upwind performance. There is the option to have twin wheels configured which can be upgraded to carbon. With a tiller as standard, she is very responsive. The layout provides a forward cabin with plenty of room and a good-sized clothes locker each side of the dressing area, with more stowage beneath and over the berths. The saloon has an L-shaped galley, with lots of stowage, a gimballed twin burner gas cooker with oven and a generously-sized sink and fridge; a smoothly rounded backwards-facing chart table with ample space for electronic equipment; a twin leaf saloon table, a U-shaped seating area to port and long straight settee starboard capable of seating six in comfort to dine, as well as providing two excellent sea berths on the move. The heads are spacious with separate shower facilities which is a rare and great feature for a 34-foot yacht; a deep sink, wet locker, and easy internal access to the cockpit locker through a sliding door. One aft cabin features a very large double berth, two portholes that can be opened, plenty of lockers and shelves, plus stowage under the berth. The Arcona 345 mirrors the quality and style of the rest of the Arcona fleet. With a choice between the rich Khaya Mahogany interior or the beautiful Light Oak interior, the owners’ choice of fabrics, white headlining, and plenty of ports and hatches provide light, good ventilation and unrivalled comfort. Like all Arcona models, the Arcona 345 is built with the latest materials and advanced techniques. Our Swedish heritage shows in the beautiful lines and clean functional design. The hull and deck employ vacuum infusion technology with a sandwich construction featuring multi axial rovings and Vinylester resin. The core material is 20mm Divinycell. All bulkheads are bonded to the hull and deck for added strength. Fitted with a powerful fractional rig, the Arcona 345 sports a tapered, twin spreader, keel-stepped mast and is prepped for spinnaker equipment. For strength and stability, the bulb keel is made of antimony hardened lead. The transom is open with an integral bathing platform. The large storage locker aft is accessible from two recessed hatches in the cockpit floor. Additional storage can be found in the aft end of the cockpit bench and a cockpit table is stowed in the starboard side locker. The cockpit coaming, aft deck and sole are in teak. The side deck can be specified either in teak or in Arcona’s iconic non-slip material. Ideal for shorthanded sailing, the 34ft/10.4m Arcona 345 is set to be a new favourite performance cruiser on the regatta circuit and for cruising with family and friends.

A stand out boat in so many ways, the Contest 52MC Flybridge is a spectacularly successful design. And in this version with fully accommodated flybridge, there’s even more for the press to love. The joint creation of longstanding design partner Georg Nissen, the well known boat engineering and designer company Vripack and the yard’s own in-house design team, the 52MC is also an unusually versatile performance platform, available in Fastlane  and Open Sport as well as Flybridge versions. Interior layouts are customisable, too, building out of a raised saloon and two heads, three sleeping cabin standard plan.

At a size allowing four spacious guest cabins and fully enclosable galley and crew quarters, the Contest 72CS, flagship of the Contest fleet, provides the perfect platform for both owner driver or skipper and crew assisted sailing. And the nature of wide ranging options spans just about every element of this truly semi-custom build, with bulkhead positioning almost the only constraint. Deliveries to date span full carbon rig with Park Lane boom and 3Di moulded sails to alloy spars and vertically battened Vectra with in-mast furling. The Contest 67CS marks the first steps in a long term collaboration with German design team judel/vrolijk & co, renowned for powerful yachts, both racing and cruising, offshore and ocean. That combined experience results in easily driven, sea kindly, handsome yachts, which neatly defines this 21-metre bluewater performance cruiser, the Contest 67CS. Fast with such simple control both upwind and down, she's remarkably stable and easily sailed by short-handed crew, making light equally of long voyaging or regatta participation. Her accommodation plan for up to eight guests, in anything up to four cabins, with the option of master suite forward or aft, and similarly galley and cew either end, presents great opportunity to personalise this very highly technically specified and exceptionally quiet yacht.

The key to this Contest 63CS is that although in the 'mid-sixties' sector, an extra paid crew is just not essential. It's all about family and friends in control, working the yacht, enjoying the entirety of the sailing and the huge space both above and below deck. It’s about smart sailing with simple but sophisticated short-handed sailing systems which with the option of carbon or aluminium rigs include the choice of in-boom or in-mast reefing.
