  2. Privilege 495 Owners version

    Privilege 495 Owners version

    Nassau, Bahamas
    2004
    $550,000

The Privilege 495 is perhaps the most comfortable, seaworthy and robust 50 foot cruising cat ever built. AFRICA 2 has been in the expert hands of a seasoned, live-aboard couple since 2014. A proven circumnavigator, it has never chartered and has always been maintained with superior care. The interior cherry veneers, engines and engine rooms are in truly "bristol" condition. Systems are maintained at precise manufacturer intervals and the hull gelcoats, brightwork are polished and sharp year round. The yacht cruises in the Bahamas in the winter and is stored on the hard during hurricane season. Please browse the gallery of recent photos and the walk-thru video.  The boat had a mini-refit this past fall 2022 including all new Raymarine navigation instruments and 12" plotter, new radar, new Raymarine autopilot, new Echo-Tech watermaker, new Lewmar windlass, new enclosure, new mattresses and soft goods. The bottom was painted and running gear serviced.   This is the sought-after owner version with a large king-size bed in the forward "beam-to-beam" cabin and two guest cabins aft. The galley is up and includes four burner stove, double sink, dishwasher and Corian counter tops. The interior is fitted in a cherry wood veneer that is finished to a high gloss. The owners, who have owned other blue-water mono-hulls, selected this cat to meet the challenges of Atlantic ocean crossings and Caribbean trade-wind conditions. The yacht has seen limited use and registers just 1600 hours on the twin 75 HP Volvo engines. All comfort amenities are aboard: large 12KW generator generator (1500 hours), full air conditioning (4 x 16,000 BTU compressors), water-maker, fridge and separate freezer and a washing machine. The sail wardrobe features durable Incidences Hydranet mainsail and genoa, screecher on separate removeable stay and 2 Parasailors for efficiency and ease of use on long downwind passages. Electric primaries, main halyard/reef and main sail sheet/traveler winches (5 electric winches), allow the owner to run the boat shorthanded with his wife. The hard-top bimini facilitates mainsail access and handling. The powerful aluminum Marechal mast is stayed by an upper cap and lower shroud on each side and by a forestay and inner stay (baby-stay) forward. The raised stanchions are higher than the standard allowing for a third row of lifelines. This tough, uncompromising yacht will take your family in complete safety and comfort through the Caribbean or on a circumnavigation. The dedication to luxury and practical comfort is unequalled on a Privilege cat. The joinery and finish inside are matched only by the caliber and quality of the stainless fittings on deck. The salon and cabins are roomy and light; the cockpit is large and offers easy access to very wide transoms. A superb yacht, one of the finest I have seen. Please contact us to arrange a showing.   NOT FOR SALE TO U.S. RESIDENTS IN U.S. WATERS

  6. Catalina 42

    Catalina 42

    Grenada, Grenada
    1990
    $75,000

Solid Performance, Excellent Accommodations, and Good Value   PERFORMANCE  This is a Nelson / Marek designed Catalina. These guys design custom world class racers to including America's Cup yachts. The owner’s state: “She is very fast. We normally cruise at 6 to 7 knots. If we have a good wind and she’s at a broad reach, we have sailed as fast as 9 to 10 knots and you won’t even spill a drop of coffee.” They bought the boat in Florida in 2017 then sailed her all the way down and around the Caribbean chain.  Auxiliary power is provided by a 44 HP Yamaha engine with 5977 hours. EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATIONS On deck, the large cockpit seats are long enough to host a lounging 6’8” passenger. Remove the helm seat for a nice swim platform. Below, the yacht is very well ventilated with plenty of port holes to create great airflow and comfortable living below. Extra fans have been installed to add to the comfort on windless days. There is new upholstery (2022) on the cozy L-shaped dinette with a folding table for versatility. Accommodations include a Pullman style berth forward with a large head and shower in the bow. This configuration eliminates the crowded effect of having the cabin in the bow. Two cabins aft are equipped with a hanging locker and spacious enough to change clothes. The second head / shower is located aft which is convenient while sailing underway. GOOD VALUE John Kretxchmer, in his 2008 Sailing Magazine review of the Catalina 42 states: “This capable and versatile cruiser is a bargain.” And “It is also a sound value” The is a great endorsement from a professional sailor and writer. At the current list price, it is below the market value because the owners are pursuing other interests and don’t want to see her sitting in the water for too long. HIGHLIGHTS, UPGRADES AND UPDATES New upholstery in the saloon LED interior lighting Extra fans in the saloon 2021 ZAR 10 ft mini Stack pack (2018) Garhauer bow roller for Manson Spade 60 lb anchor Garhauer davits (2017) Port hole awnings and Sunbrella hatch covers Iridium Go Antenna (Iridium Go not included) Rigid solar panels (700 Watts total) Forward sanitation hoses replace in 2022 New batteries (2020) New anchor chain (2020) You can see that this has a lot going on and at a great price!

  7. Technologie Marine Entincelle 60

    Technologie Marine Entincelle 60

    Terra Ceia, Florida
    1999
    $749,000

Etincelle 60 COOL CAT was built by the Tecna yard in Brazil, best known for the Dolphin catamarans. She is hull #3 of a series of 6 sisterships and was launched in 2000. Tecna is a household name at The Multihull Company as it is the builder of the better known Dolphin 430 and Dolphin 460s. Our company sold a few dozen of the new Dolphin 430s/460s and we continue to sell them second-hand all over the world. They are known for quality of craftsmanship and outstanding sailing performance.  A carbon-epoxy construction, COOL CAT is designed and built for reliable, blue-water performance. The centerpiece of the yacht is a rotating, carbon wing mast with all textile standing rigging (standing rigging replaced in 2016), and carbon fiber Park Avenue boom. The mast was cured in an oven. The boat is equipped with recent Calvert performance sails: carbon-composite mainsail, carbon-composite, self-taking jib, a 2022 gennaker and two spinnakers. Moving forward along the wide decks you note the carbon composite dagger-boards outboard. And ahead, the long, narrow bows and the long trampoline take your breath away. The distinguishing feature of this cat is the limited footprint of the bridge-deck in relation to the waterline length. This design is all about keeping weight down – just under 20,000 pounds or 10 tons – and centered. This cat’s very long legs and minimal deck volume give it a sea-kindly motion especially in choppy or rough seas that in turn allow high average speeds - where other boats hobby horse. The bridge deck clearance is a rare 95 centimeters (over 3 feet).   The low-profile coach-roof gives you excellent access to the boom, mainsail, lazy jacks and stack pack for stowing the main, accessing reef lines or maneuvering underway.  The headroom inside the salon is 1,95 meters.  Moving back to the stern, we have a view on the extra-long sugar scoops and you will note the significant distance between the aft beam and transoms - a real design difference here with even the more modern performance cats that offer very little waterline length behind the bridge-deck. The davits hold a new 14 foot RIB dinghy with 40HP Yamaha 2 stroke outboard engine. An elegant, carbon fiber frame holds two 380 watt solar panels. For the pleasure of helming this speedster, two rear tiller steering stations are equipped with Raymarine wind instruments and autopilot repeaters.    COOL CAT is a superbly constructed, simple, performance cat with beautiful lines. It was designed to achieve 200-300 mile days over long distances and has proven reliable on numerous ocean passages over many years. We would be delighted to show you COOL CAT in person. Always in impeccable condition, this is a cat on which all systems work and all equipment is continuously maintained. The owners sail 2,000-4,000 miles a year aboard.  Do check out the attached video and give us a call to discuss.    NOT FOR SALE TO U.S. RESIDENTS IN U.S. WATERS

    $420,000

You want to sail upon an Ocean?  Start with an Ocean of wisdom.  Buy a proven performance cruising catamaran design that is meant to cross oceans, has crossed oceans, and is ready to cross oceans right now.  Buy it from cruisers with more than 40 years of maritime experience (you've been reading their byline in the world's sailing magazines for years).  This is a one-owner catamaran whose owners have poured their knowledge, wisdom, and oversight into Ocean's build, equipment, care and maintenance.   Why is there so much wisdom in this purchase?  Dolphins are made for the sea.  They have extraordinary seakeeping qualities.  They are smart cats.  Dolphins have fine easily-driven hulls with tremendous reserve buoyancy.  They have vacuum-bagged vinylester and Divinycell construction with ten watertight bulkheads, six watertight cabin soles, and a continuous flanged and glassed hull-to-deck joint.  Ocean has skeg-protected SailDrives and rudders.  She has a great stance on the water with excellent balance.  Engines are placed well forward and tanks are carried low near the center of motion where they ought to be.  Dolphins are fast and efficient.  They have strong daggerboards for excellent pointing ability.  Raise the boards off the wind to remove parasitic drag for even more performance.  Folding props (and a watermaker) keep drag low and speeds high on all points.  Dolphins can average 9.5 knots on long passages and often safely see the teens.  Ocean has a tall mast, self-tacking sail plan, strong, intelligently-placed deck hardware (including an electric self-tailing winch for the main halyard and more), proven over-sized ground tackle, a protected helm, wide secure decks, and she has been meticulously thought-out for double-handing.  You will enjoy her custom, unsinkable, 11' sailing/rowing/electric dinghy as you explore communities and anchorages throughout the world.  Ocean enjoyed a $100,000 refit just last year including four new salon windows, all new deck hatches, batteries, cushions, a thorough survey, extensive engine and SailDrive service, and more. . . Ocean isn't just structure and seakeeping; take a look inside.  She has a beautiful and comfortable owner's version interior.  The interior is bespoke and it has all of the touches that make for an especially comfortable and practical cruising home.  What makes it so special?  Two independent office spaces, two private cabins (one a complete owner's hull), a large convertible dinette for entertaining (or a rest area at sea for the on or off-watch), a practical light filled galley up (at the center of motion) equipped with a top-of-the-line stove, dedicated pantry, dual-sinks, 3-drawer refrigeration and fantastic storage, and two large heads with separate showers.  Ocean is equipped with solar (1056 watts), batteries (1260 amp hours worth) and systems that make her truly independent of her engines for days if not weeks at a time.  Ocean is warmed by hydronic diesel-fired heat, easily ventilated, easily enclosed, and cooled in her air-conditioned master cabin.  This is a wise choice for a cruising catamaran.  Buy the best Dolphin 460 ever built - Ocean.  And buy her in one of the most beautiful places on Earth - Bay of Islands New Zealand - where you can cost-effectively add your own touches and explore for nearly two years before reaching up to the rest of the South Pacific and the world.  Contact Matthew for more information today.

  10. Maxim 57

    Maxim 57

    prickly bay, Grenada
    2006
    $529,000

Please email Mark Wattrus for additional information An Opportunity to own a performance orientated Catamaran designed by World Renowned Naval Architect Alexander Simonis does not come around often and especially at this price point.  Dreams Float is a 2006 5 Cabin Maxim 57 Catamaran built in Cape Town, South Africa. She has just finished a South Atlantic crossing and has arrived in Grenada for the winter cruising season. She recorded some high speeds on her transit and has proven herself as a capable Blue Water cruiser with several South Atlantic and Indian Ocean passages. The cost to build a boat new to this spec would be astronomical.  The MAXIM 57 is a very purposeful seagoing vessel and with a vast amount of usable space on board both inside and out for a boat this size. The control line arrangement on the Maxim 57 makes it easy to sail shorthanded due to the control lines leading back to the cockpit. Extra halyards were installed for reassurance and safety and the boat features ample flat deck space for ease of maneuverability while underway.  Dreams Float would make an ideal expedition vessel for large families wanting to explore off the grid or perhaps an affordable expedition catamaran for remote charters in uncharted waters. Built to sail around the world with the length over the waterline and bridge deck clearance that most cruisers can dream of.  The previous owner has completely re-fitted her at a cost of over $150,000 with new sails, new standing rigging, new running rigging, fresh bottom job, new chargers, brand new water maker and a Brand-new Solar Arch with solar creating additional shade and protection in the cockpit.   Dimensions and Details   DIMENSIONS + DETAILS Designer: Alex Simonis Builder: Maxim Year: 2006 Length: 17.4 meters Beam: 8.5 meters Draft: 1.5 meters Displacement: 10,000 kg Cruising speed: 7 kts Maximum speed: 8 kts   ACCOMMODATIONS 4 king size berths + 1 single crew cabin Headroom in saloon: 2 meters 4 showers (Interior) 1 shower (Exterior) 4 heads (2 electric 2 manual) 4 holding tanks   RECENT UPGRADES + IMPROVEMENTS Brand New High Output Saltech Custom Water Maker  Brand New Solar Arch and Solar array  Serviced saildrive units 2021 Max sailing speed was 15knots Max engine speed was 7 knots New fold away davit system to support 3.8m RIB 2019 2 Fridge + 2 Freezer (one fridge can be wired into a 3rd freezer if needed) Loads of deck and interior storage Full deck spares Assorted Hand Tools included.
