Description
An open checkbook restoration and it shows! From the chrome elements, bone colored steering wheel, the deep red interior upholstery, & especially the gorgeous wooden hull detail, this Riviera is special. Starts easy & runs smooth. Powered by a 185 hp 283 ci V8, this boat can go fast with class.
Absolutely stunning classic! This 1951 Chris Craft 18' Riviera received a no-expense spared, open checkbook restoration prior to the current owner's possession. Upon acquisition, the owner elected to have the boat inspected by the legendary vintage boat professionals at Macatawa Bay Boat Works in Lake Macatawa, MI who confirmed the quality of the restoration and mechanicals. This Riviera has continued to receive excellent care throughout current ownership, having only been used in used in freshwaters and stored in a heated facility during the offseason. Every element of the boat shows extremely well and is in top condition, especially the mahogany hull and deck, every piece of chrome, and interior componentry. You can take this boat on the water with confidence. The Chevrolet marine prepared 283 was made for Chris-Craft as evidenced by the engine plates. That said, the performance of this Riviera matches its looks! The 185 HP V8 allows this particular Riviera to be very responsive (and capable) on the water. Interior-wise, the deep red bench seats are supple and soft and show very little, if any, wear. All navigational and related equipment are 100% operational. This is a no-apologies, no disappointment, gorgeous example Chris-Craft's best from the early1950's that you can be proud to own! ***A custom, single axle trailer with newer bunks for both the bow and hull come with the sale of the boat - also in excellent condition.***
