The CHB 41 Tri-Cabin Trawler is a classic cruising yacht admired for its roomy layout, economical performance, and timeless trawler character. Built by Chung Hwa Boatworks in Taiwan, the 42 offers generous accommodations and the sturdy construction that has made CHBs so enduringly popular with long-range cruisers and liveaboards.
This single-engine model is powered by the reliable Ford Lehman 120 hp diesel, renowned for its longevity and efficiency. At comfortable cruising speeds of 7–8 knots, the boat delivers excellent fuel economy, making it well-suited for extended coastal or inland cruising.
The tri-cabin layout provides a true master stateroom aft with a queen berth and private head with shower, while the forward cabin features twin bunks and and is served by a second head—accessible from the companionway, making it convenient for guests as well as for daytime use. The sunken galley forward of the salon keeps the main living space open and bright, with large salon windows offering 360° views. The galley is fully equipped, with ample storage and counter space, while the salon provides a welcoming gathering area with a lower helm for all-weather operation.
Outside, wide side decks, tall railings, and solid handholds ensure safe movement, and the spacious flybridge offers excellent visibility underway and a large entertaining space at anchor. The boat’s semi-displacement hull and steady design provide a comfortable ride in a variety of conditions.

Accommodations
Starboard entry to the lower helm station. Down and forward is the guest stateroom with twin bunks and ample storage. Just aft of the forward cabin is a spacious head adjacent to the sunken galley. Stepping up into the bright main saloon there is a large L shaped couch with fold out table. Stepping down into the large aft cabin with an island queen berth surrounded by loads of cabin space and an ensuite head and shower.
