SOME HIGHLIGHTS - FULL DETAILS SOON
In 1987 with sailboat sales in decline, the Hinckley company decided to experiment in the powerboat world. Four 36’ hulls were purchased from neighboring builder, Jarvis Newman and Hinckley added the cabins to outfit them as “lobster yachts”. Intermezzo remained in the care of Hinckley for most of its life. One owner hired Henry’s son Hank, to extend and shape the aft part of the main cabin giving her the pronounced style she now bears.
In 2021 the boat was refitted with a new Cat C7, 408 hp turbo engine and propulsion. This included an Aquadrive system for smoother performance. A 10 page list shows her continued maintenance and improvements since then , including all new electronics in 2024. Each season Intermezzo goes into the shop for fresh varnish and treatments.
