Description
"ELIZA", is a great example of a true lobster boat turned yacht. Based off the Beal 31 hull, she was laid up in 1987 and finished by West Bay Boats of Steuben, Maine in 1993. The current owner purchased the boat in 2005 and did some great upgrades, most notably extending the cabin aft and outfitting her with a nice galley aft of the helm. A great set-up for entertaining!
Powered by a reliable Cummins 210 HP inboard, Eliza cruises at 14 knots while sipping just 7 Gallons an hour at 2400 RPM's. Eliza has clearly been very well maintained and would make for a perfect Tuna boat.
Currently being stored at Belmont Boat Works in Belmont, Maine. Recent survey is available.
Electronics
The DC system is powered by one Grp 24 and one Grp 27 AGM batteries. The vessel is also equipped with a 30 amp 110VAC shore power system with a 20amp charger.
Navigation equipment:
- Compass: One, Ritchie 3" Direct Read bulkhead mounted. Azimuth 1000 Electronic Compass.
- VHF: Standard Horizon- GX35005 & Eclipse with separate 8' antennas.
- GPS/Radar: Raymarine C80 Chart Plotter with 4KW dome antenna and Milltech AIS Reciever. 12" Standard Horizon CP 500 GPS chart plotter.
Running Gear
The 1.5" Stainless Steel Shaft is supported by an Evolution Drive system which turns a 19.5" X 16", 4 Blade left hand prop which was re-pitched from a 20" x 16". The rectangular SS rudder is supported by skeg mounted bearing and bronze packing gland and is steered by a single ram hydraulic system.
Engine
"Eliza" is powered by a 1987 Cummins 6BT5.9M 6 cylinder turbo charged engine. Rated 210HP at 2600RPM. The engine is very accessible through 2 opening boxes.
The twin disc MG5050A reverse gear with trolling valve was installed in September of 2014.
Tankage
Two, 60 gal rectangular fiberglass fuel tanks are mounted in the engine space on port and starboard sides.
A 10 gallon Isotherm water heater is mounted under the upper galley counter.
There are two 20 gallon fiberglass water tanks mounted under the wash rail aft of the pilothouse, port and starboard. A 25 gallon poly waste holding tank is mounted under the "V" berth with deck pumpout.
