Description
-Preliminary Listing -
The Albin 32 is an efficient power trawler that cruises easily at 18 kts burning 5.5 gallons per hour at 1850 RPM. The 32 command bridge is considered a sailor’s powerboat as it is not only fuel efficient but remarkably quiet at the helm. Features like a center line queen berth, a separate stall shower and a propane range make the Albin 32 a comfortable couple’s cruiser. The command bridge provides excellent visibility while underway and the bow thruster makes single handed docking and maneuvering in tight quarters a breeze. This 1996 low hour Albin shows beautifully and is highly recommended for those looking for an efficient and responsible way to enjoy power boating. Highly recommended.

Vessel Walkthrough
Starting forward there is a centerline queen bunk with storage underneath. The forward cabin is exceptionally large and has a vanity with a pull out makeup stool to port and an enclosed head with a separate shower stall to starboard. A wide oak trimmed bi-fold door provides full privacy for the master cabin. The galley is located on the port side of the main salon and has a propane range with twin Norcold refrigeration units. Custom features like the built in coffee maker and additional shelving are just a few of the custom touches found aboard. A large U shaped settee with a drop leaf table is to port. The table has the ability to lower and form a double bunk. Storage abounds on the Albin 32 and there are draws and cupboards located throughout the vessels interior. Three short steps lead to the after deck. There is a “tuna” door for easy access to the swim platform, a feature that makes boarding the vessel easy and safe from either a dinghy or the dock. Access to the fly bridge is gained by ascending a short stainless steel ladder. The fly bridge has a padded helmsman’s chair with varnished armrests and there is a u shaped settee to port. The albin 32 has wide side deck which makes going forward easy and safe. An electric windlass with an anchor roller and large hatches for the anchor locker makes setting and retrieving the hook a one person job.
Engine/tankage/hull
Efficient power on this Albin comes from a Cummins 6BTA 5.9 liter 6 cylinder diesel producing 312 b/hp at 2800 RPM. The boat will cruise comfortably in the high teens with very little fuel burn. The combination of the single 4 bladed propeller and the Vetus bow thruster makes close quarter maneuvering easy and safe while providing an efficient fuel thrifty propulsion system. Twin aluminum fuel tanks are found on either side of the engine compartment and hold 130 gallons each. There is a large Racor and a fuel manifold which allows for tank isolation and fuel ballasting. Engine access is gained via three large cockpit deck hatches. The motor is mounted with a V drive transmission and access to the transmission batteries and other equipment is gained through the aft settee in the main salon.
The Albin 32’s has a hard chine planning hull with integral spray strakes and a long keel. The propeller is fully protected by the keel aperture and a bronze shoe.
