General Description

57' LRC ocean cruiser with full displacement hull form, single main, wing engine, active fin stabilization, full walk-around side decks, large cockpit, Portuguese bridge, raised pilothouse with reverse-raked forward windows, and full-width flybridge and long boat deck.  The extended bow platform for anchor gear and integral swim step gives a true LOA of just over 63 feet.

Classic interior layout with large salon, integral galley amidships, and pilothouse up with direct access to the flybridge and boat deck.  Below decks are three staterooms, two bathrooms and ready access to the engine room.  Lazarette storage accessed from the cockpit and commissary storage accessed from the salon aft complete the picture.

Detailed Description - Exterior

High bulwarks (with broad teak cap rail professionally varnished in the recent past by Philbrooks Shipyard on Vancouver Island, BC) all around the cockpit and along both side decks.  At the step-up to the pilothouse, stainless railings were added on top and all around the Portuguese bridge.  Heavy-duty, high stainless steel railings and pulpit around the foredeck and anchor platform.

Teak decking in excellent condition in the cockpit area, side decks and Portuguese bridge.  Molded FRP non-skid on the foredeck, as well as for the flybridge and boat deck.  The boat deck also has full wrap-around, high stainless steel railings.  Through-bulwarks boarding doors are located at both sides of the cockpit, at the transom, and starboard side at the pilothouse.

• Ten (10) heavy-duty, through-bulwarks stainless steel hawse/cleat assemblies at bow, Portuguese bridge, amidships, stern and transom
• Eight (8) through-bulwarks, small stainless steel “ports” with cam cleats distributed either side for hanging fenders
• Freeing ports and deck drains in cockpit and at the foredeck
• Two (2) 50A shore power outlets at the foredeck and (1) in the cockpit 

Foredeck features include:

Portuguese bridge features include:

• Two (2) large storage lockers under the bridge
• Access gate starboard to the foredeck
• Two (2) water fill ports to port recessed into the bulwark
• One (1) waste port to starboard recessed into the bulwark
• Wing control stations port and starboard with Twin Disc single-lever electronic engine controls, Side-Power bow and stern thruster controls, and Simrad autopilot toggle steering control
• Sunscreen covers wrap around pilothouse windows and both sides

Cockpit features include:

• Large open cockpit covered by the boat deck
• Cockpit doors either side and at the transom

• Lighting in the overhead, plus two (2) stereo speakers and an aft-facing stern view camera
• Two (2) fuel fill ports recessed into the bulwarks port and starboard
• Salt water wash spigot and hot/cold cockpit shower at the transom
• Custom stainless pads either side (with power supply) next to boarding doors for mounting downrigger gear and a custom fish cleaning table; wing engine works great for trolling for salmon
• Very large lazarette with lockable deck hatch provides access to steering gear, stern thruster, water maker, hydronic furnace, Glendenning retractable shore cord storage, new house and thruster batteries, under water lights, tools, spare parts storage, fishing and boat cleaning gear, fenders, crab pots and a large fish cleaning table
• The integral swim platform has two (2) large stainless steel staples with lifelines in between, a safety ladder housed in the swim step deck, and a 50A retractable shore cord and controls at starboard side of the transom

Flybridge features include:

• Stainless steel and acrylic sliding hatch from pilothouse to flybridge
• Sturdy FRP arch between flybridge and boat deck provides for extensive antenna array and point of attachment for the bimini top
• Very sturdy collapsible bimini top with stainless steel frames
• Two (2) Llebroc deluxe swiveling helm chairs with foot rests
• Console with large stainless wheel and rudder position indicator, Side-Power bow and stern thruster controls, Simrad autopilot control head, Ritchie Powerdamp compass, and Twin Disc single-lever electronic controls for main engine
• To left of the helm console is a built-in, weather-proof structure for housing/viewing chart kits

• Large L-settee port side with FRP table on stainless steel pedestals with storage under; three (3) aluminum LPG bottles for galley stove/oven
• Console to starboard with Richman stainless steel 2-B BBQ with two (2) 2.5-lb aluminum LPG bottles stored under, and with small sink and additional storage under
• Sunbrella covers for staircase, helm chairs, console and settee

Boat deck features include:

• Tender storage starboard will accommodate up to 13' and outboard motor
• Tender launches port with heavy-duty, 3-way powered crane using a handheld remote control unit
• High stainless steel railing all around the boat deck, with stainless steel kayak holders mounted on both sides
• Fishing pole holders mounted inside the arch struts both sides
• Extra safety gear includes a Lifesling, and Winslow emergency life raft stored in a hard valise (last certification unknown)

Detailed Description – Interior

Beautiful teak veneers and solid teak joinery with satin finish throughout.  Teak and holly cabin sole throughout, with fitted carpeting in the salon area.  Black ultra-leather upholstery used throughout the boat.  Overhead panels are upholstered and removable.  Overhead, reading and courtesy lights in abundance throughout.  LIONESS’ interior is clean and in exceptional condition throughout, with no odors evident anywhere.  All locker doors are of solid teak construction with louvers for maximum ventilation.

Salon features include:

• L-settee to port with storage under and behind, and beautiful, large teak salon table with inlay on adjustable pedestal base
• Club chairs to starboard with long run of storage cabinets forward
• Two (2) sets of large opening windows each port and starboard
• Dual layer window shades all around the salon and galley area for privacy or black-out
• Watertight Dutch door with top window is main entry from cockpit
• Liquor locker port and Raritan Icer-ette icemaker starboard
• Bose stereo system with four (4) overhead Bose speakers and large subwoofer under settee; added Blu-ray player and USBC connector for iPad input
• Samsung flat-screen smart TV with soundbar in galley bulkhead
• Air conditioning outlets above, and heating system outlets below

Commissary features include:

• Access via a hatch in the salon aft cabin sole with ladder down

• 2021:  Stabilizer fins dropped and system fully serviced by CSR
• 2023:  Haul-out with new antifouling paint applied; replaced shaft seal for the main engine; replaced engine mounts; installed two (2) new underwater lights at transom; strip and refinish exterior cap rails
• 2024:  Minor gelcoat cosmetic repairs; installed a new Starlink system; Li battery system complete upgrade for the house bank, including the Victron Energy Quattro charger/inverter system; repair/replace the main engine shaft tube; replace the holding tank macerator pump
• 2025:  Full detailing and waxing of hull topsides and superstructure

Broker’s Comments

LIONESS has had two owners, 2005-2012 and 2012 to present, and has always been named LIONESS.  Originally delivered into the Northwest, she’s always been a PNW-to-Alaska cruising boat, nicely used but still in exceptionally clean condition and with modest operating hours on all engines.  The current owners have indulged LIONESS in thorough and ongoing routine maintenance, as well as upgrades during their tenure amounting to several hundred thousand dollars.  Major service providers for current owners have always been CSR Marine in Seattle, and Philbrooks Shipyard in Sidney, BC.  This is a remarkably clean, comfortable and capable long-range cruiser, with many more trips to Alaska or down to Mexico and Central America to go.
