Description
What happens when the best of friends decide to build the ultimate cruising powerboat? You get decades of knowledge as well as an efficient and wonderful riding hull designed by the renowned naval architect, Doug Zurn.
My friend, the owner, wanted the engines aft for reduced noise and to open up accommodations. One level living from bow to stern on the lower level, and a grand staircase leading to the light filled pilot house/saloon area. An owner's cabin with accommodations of a 70 footer with a large center island berth, walk-in closet and owner's head with separate stall shower.
Forward is a home size galley with real home style appliances and huge settee opposite. Further forward are two identical guest cabins with a large head at the forepeak.
The pilot house has a wonderful helm station with exceptional and unhindered sightlines whether standing or seated. Generous loveseats and chairs complete with a dining table, an entertainment center, offer comfort and great visibility. Last but not least a convenient day head which can be accessed from the saloon or aft deck.
Speaking of decks, they are wide and open with no "toe stubbers" and plenty of railings and handholds for security. Leading to the foredeck there is a recessed cockpit for security while handling the anchor.
All systems are in great working order and are easily accessed when maintenance is necessary.
"Sea Blitz" was originally built with a nice compliment of varnished teak details such as cap rails and nosing, but having spent time down South, the wood was removed for ease of maintenance. As you can see in the rendering, the style of the vessel can be tailored to the new owner's taste and budget.
Please call Chris Hood with any questions you may have on this spectacular opportunity.

Tall, bulwarks and lifelines surround the perimeter of the deck, making for safe walking about under any condition.

The diesel engines are mounted to v-drives to situate them well aft, enhancing the balance of the yacht while underway, and creating more usable interior space forward. Careful attention to sound/vibration control yields an impressively quiet 76dB ride - and that's at wide open throttle. The aft deck even features a convenient removable panel should the engines need to be hauled out for servicing.
