Description
The Interboat 17 is a great choice for both new and experienced boaters. With its Category C hull, it’s equally at home on inland waterways like the Thames or in coastal estuaries such as Chichester Harbour or the River Dart. It’s well suited to relaxed cruising as a couple or with family, and the deep keel and shaft drive give you a predictable, stable ride for a boat of this size.
"Tread Softly" has spent the last few years on the River Dart and has had three previous owners, with each sale handled by us at Val Wyatt. With its unmistakable classic style and low-maintenance hull colour, it’s an easy boat to live with and a nice option for anyone looking for maximum enjoyment with minimal fuss.
Category C Hull - CE rated to 8 persons

Layout
The bow features an anchor locker set into the foredeck and a central mounted cleat, aft of this are the side decks with a non slip finish.
The cockpit features two main seating areas, forward seating for approximately six people with good high backrests and comfortable base cushions. Beneath the seats are large stowage areas that can fit personal items along with the infill cushions and boards. There is also a foldable teak table mounted in the centre of the seating which can be removed if not wanted.
Moving aft the engine casing is midships, this doubles as a superb table. To the rear of the boat there is a further seating area for three people in comfort and easy access to the steering and engine controls.Â
The flooring of the cockpit has been upgraded to 10 mm solid teak.
The rear deck of the boat has a two cleats, navigation light and ensign staff holder.Â
To cover the boat a spray hood is fitted forward on a self supporting stainless steel frame. The sides and front of the spray hood can be rolled up so the actual canopy becomes a forward sun bimini. To the rear a sturdy zipper is fitted to which the tonneau cover can be connected to protect the aft section of the boat when not in use.
