Pumps & Electrics

Pumps:

All pumps are 24 V DC.

Freshwater pump (incl. accumulator tanks). It automatically delivers both cold and hot water at mains pressure to the heads compartment and galley, as well as cold water to the on-deck tap.

Holding tank evacuation pump. Switched.

Bilge pump: Empties each of three bilges in the living area and the shower tray. Switched.

Engine-room bilge pump. Automatic and switched

Fuel pump to transfer diesel from bulk tank to day tank. Switched

Electrics

240V AC shore-power socket via Victron 16A isolation transformer.

240V AC generator

Victron Quattro 3500/70A Combi (inverter/charger) supplies a 240V ring main and immersion heater.

24V DC circuits for domestic lighting, pumps, and instrumentation.

Domestic battery bank: 450 Ah (at 24 V) Absorbent Glass Mat Batteries.

Engine and generator start batteries: 24 V and 12 V, respectively.

Generator: Northern Lights (M773 LW2-7) 7 kW 1500 rpm in an acoustic cabinet located in the engine room and operated from remote control in the companionway.

The Victron Quattro is linked to generator/shore power to meet additional (short-term) power demands.

Engine alternator (24 V, 80 A) via Cyrix intelligent relay to domestic and starter batteries.

Victron Quattro 3500 charges domestic and engine start batteries when a generator is running and/or a shore-power connection is available.

Please note the generator has not been used in current ownership.
