Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” 

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Welded steel hull and superstructure.
• Hull subdivided with multiple watertight bulkheads, enhancing safety and compartmentalization.
• Bulkheads in accommodation and technical spaces insulated for thermal comfort, noise reduction, and fire protection.
• Hull and superstructure coated with marine-grade epoxy and polyurethane systems for corrosion and abrasion protection.
• Teak decking installed over a prepared substrate.
• Hull hydro sandblasted primed and antifouled (2024).
• Bilges sanded back to steel, primed and repainted (2024).
• Forepeak sanded back to steel, primed and re-painted (2024).

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Twin diesel engines, typically Cummins QSM11, 715 hp each inline, 6 cylinder, 4 stroke turbocharged and aftercooled rated @ 2500 RPM.
• Twin ZF 325-1A Gearboxes.
• Twin Racor fuel filters 500 FG30 MTC .
• Engines mounted on vibration-isolated beds for reduced noise.
• Fully integrated engine room with accessible service points for routine maintenance.
• Shafts, couplings, and alignment engineered to minimize vibration.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Maintained to the highest standards in accordance with MCA Category A commercial coding and Cayman Islands registration.
• Engines and gearboxes serviced regularly, with full records available.
• Engine hours circa port: 1,500 & starboard: 1,500 (February 2026).
• Efficient performance with a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots.
• Total Fuel consumption approximately 60 litres per hour, with a range of 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• Twin fixed-pitch propellers, Shafts, couplings, and alignment designed for minimal vibration, efficient power transfer, driven via the main engines.
• Steering system hydraulic Marsili CL.0-78N-FB + CG14V, with emergency redundancy.
• Humphree 1.3m2 all speed fin stabilisation system (installed in 2024 by Monaco Marine).
• Hydraulic Sidepower bow and stern thrusters thrusters to assist with low-speed manoeuvring.
• Propulsion and steering systems configured for efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance during extended offshore missions.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• Main electrical system: AC 230 V / 50 Hz and DC 24V distribution.
• DC Voltage: 24 V and/or 12 V circuits for navigation, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Generators to provide full operational and hotel loads, with redundancy for critical systems.
• ASEA voltage converter for Shore Power for AC supply during docked operations.
• Circuit breakers and protective systems compliant with commercial marine standards.

 

Generators:

• 2 x Cummins Onan MDKBP 13.5kW 4-cylinder, water-cooled marine diesel generator from the Cummins Onan Quiet Diesel series.
• Twin Racor fuel filters 75/900 MAXM30.

• Generators serviced regularly, with full records available.

 

Battery Banks:

• 12 new high-capacity marine batteries installed (2024, Monaco Marine).

Battery Chargers:

• Mastervolt chargers for engines, generators & service batteries.

 

Alternators:

• Marine alternators installed on main engines.
• Provide charging for AC/DC battery banks.
• Sized to maintain house and engine start batteries under operational loads.
• Integrated with battery monitoring and management systems.
• Compliant with MCA Category A standards.

 

Shore Power:

• Integrated shore power connection for AC supply.
• ASEA voltage converter for Shore Power.
