Capelli Tempest 40

The Tempest 40 from the Italian shipyard Capelli is within the segment of large luxury RIBs and is part of the range known as the Luxury Line of Cantieri. This is undoubtedly one of the reference models that stands out for its design, habitability, and navigation capabilities.

A very well-maintained unit, with protective covers for the entire deck and floats. Very few hours of operation and equipped with two Suzuki 350 Hp engines with counter-rotating twin propellers, which enhances its performance. These are state-of-the-art four-stroke engines, with 6 V cylinders and electronic fuel injection, providing low emissions and noise levels, as well as low consumption.

The V-shaped hull is remarkable, with three very pronounced longitudinal strakes on each side, in addition to the additional lift provided by the float, enjoying very comfortable navigation at all speeds while offering excellent performance, with agile and sporty handling.

Its cruising speed can be around 27 knots at 4,000 rpm. The maximum speed exceeds 40 knots with a consumption of approximately 220 liters/hour. The 650 liters fuel tank capacity offers a range at maximum speed of about 115 miles.

The deck layout of the Tempest 40’ is typical of this type of boat, but with an enormous cockpit that multiplies its possibilities. Its certification allows for up to 18 passengers. Bar unit with a 65-liter refrigerator, under counter, with sink and work surface.
