Description
The MJM 42 combines the style and comfort of a luxury yacht with the practicality of an express cruiser. Entering the pilothouse through a sliding glass door, you are immediately surrounded by the 360-degree visibility MJM is known for. This climate-controlled space can also be opened to the elements with electric front windows and sliding side windows for natural ventilation.
The galley-up layout keeps cooking and entertaining in the heart of the action, with all the appliances and storage needed for extended cruising. To port, a seating area with a teak table doubles as a dining space or convenient workstation. The helm features twin, Italian-designed seats, equal in size and comfort, so everyone can enjoy the piloting experience and views.
Moving below, the yacht feels like stepping into a luxury hotel suite. The forward stateroom offers a near-queen berth, with beautifully built-in storage and hanging lockers, and can be closed off for privacy. Just aft, a versatile sitting area includes a built-in settee that converts to an extra berth, a teak table, and a mounted TV for entertainment.
Further aft, tucked beneath the cockpit, is a large bonus berth separated by a privacy curtain—perfect for children or additional guests. The spacious en suite head and shower is accessible from both the forward cabin and sitting area, enhancing comfort and privacy for owners and guests alike.
Throughout, rich wood accents and refined headliners create a warm, inviting feel—emphasizing that this is not a production boat, but a thoughtfully crafted yacht.
INTRODUCTION
This 2024 MJM 42 Express Cruiser, “Annabelle,” represents the very best of the model. With only 60 hours on twin Volvo Penta 440 DPI engines, she remains in near-new condition. Finished in striking Peppermint Blue metallic paint that shines as if freshly launched, she turns heads both at the dock and underway.
As hull number one, commissioned for an MJM board member, Annabelle received special attention and unique options not found on other builds. Every factory refinement was immediately incorporated, maintaining her status as the “showboat” for the 42. Used for just two seasons—one in fresh water—and always rack-stored when not in use, she has been kept to the highest standards.
This is a rare opportunity to own the benchmark yacht in the express cruiser class, fully equipped and meticulously maintained, at a fraction of the cost of a new build.
