Description
New Global Expedition Yacht designed by renowned expedition yacht Captain Grant Maughan, whose 30+ years of experience at sea includes deep-sea commercial fishing vessels, research/ dive vessels & large luxury yachts in remote areas of the globe including Antarctica and Greenland. Unique features include a spacious Owner's office suite situated under the aft helicopter pad with a commanding 300-degree view through floor-to-ceiling glass. The forward on-deck observation lounge features a hydraulic decking feature to ensure all-weather crew access. Another unique feature is the flybridge guest lounge and a 'crow's nest skybox' located 6-decks above the waterline for an extraordinary vantage point. For watersports and tender launch and retrieval, the tender bay and aft spa feature shell doors for easy ocean access.
The Owner and Guest suites are adventure luxurious with stunning views and supreme comfort in all environments. Interior design renderings are by Bassan & Benedetti.
The rugged steel hull and diesel-electric system engineering is based upon an ocean-proven commercial platform that has seen service in the extreme environment of the North Sea while servicing both the offshore oil industry and regional government patrol duties. An 8,000+ mile range with a 45-day endurance enables this expedition yacht to explore the most remote parts of the planet, eliminating the need for yacht marinas. System redundancies and onboard workshop and medical facilities add to the vessel's unmatched capabilities for autonomy and independence while cruising.
This vessel will be customised to meet an Owner's specific mission and requirements. The hulls are built at reputable European shipyards with commercial and military credentials. Construction time and costs are minimized in a commercial build when compared to a 'yacht' build.

All generators shall be resiliently mounted to reduce noise and vibrations on board.

One diesel generator 440 V, 60Hz, 3 phases shall be fitted as emergency source of Power, and installed in accordance with class rules applicable. It will be installed in the emergency generator room, on the bridge deck.

NAV & Electronics
The yacht shall be fitted with three radars:
One X-band radar in front of the yacht;
One S-band radar in front of the yacht;
One X-band radar in the aft part of the yacht.
Those radars shall provide imaging to ECDIS system.
Radars shall integrate AIS system.
Autopilot shall ensure safe navigation in any navigation situation.
The yacht shall be fitted with depth sounder, Navtex/Weather fax, Echo sounder, Fluxgate compass and magnetic compass, Speed log, VDR and Clinometer.
The navigation and communication equipment are to be compliant with SOLAS and Global Maritime Distress & Safety System (GMDSS) for A1+A2+A3+A4 service and other requirements as applicable.
It shall consist of (at least):
MMF / HF radio;
VHF radio;
Inmarsat (or similar) satellite communication;
SART;
EPIRB;
NAVTEX;
VSAT;
Portable VHF…
Further systems shall be fitted on board (but not limited to):

CCTV SYSTEM
The yacht shall be fitted with a CCTV system. It will ensure the surveyance of the yacht security against fire, intrusion, flooding or other possible problems.
It shall ensure the wings surveillance.
A server shall have the capacity to store all camera recordings for 4 weeks.
OTHER SYSTEMS
The yacht shall be fitted with several further systems:

Helicopter & Hangar (option)
Helicopter (Optional)
Capable for 2 x Airbus ACH 145 twin engine helicopter to be stored in hangar beneath the helicopter deck. Hangar shall be of retractable type providing necessary space for helicopter storage and maintenance. It shall provide safe storage and possible heating for helicopter preparation before flight.
On the hangars sides, there shall be a refuelling system for helicopter and fire protection installation.
It shall be fitted with all necessary equipment for day and night take-off and landing.
The hangar and helipad zone shall be fitted with hydraulic device for helicopter manoeuvring and securing.
