Precise Speed Reader
Nordskog's GPS speedometer can tell you exactly how fast you're going
December 19, 2001
Available with digital or analog readout, the Nordskog GPS speedometer provides highly accurate speed readings to within one-tenth of a mile an hour. The 3-3/8-inch-diameter gauge can link directly to the boat-owner-supplied GPS receiver or a GPS receiver supplied by the manufacturer. No pitot tubes are required.
The GPS speedometer boasts a number of intriguing push-button features, including "tattletale" memory recall for top speed, a programmable memory tachometer function, voltage readout and a compass. For access to the tach, volts and compass functions, an optional external button is required.
According to the manufacturer, the GPS speedo eliminates needle bounce and is backed by a three-year warranty. It is available in black or white face and has LED lighting for easy readability. A 5-inch diameter version will be released later this year or early in 2001.

- For those who prefer analog readout, Nordskog offers it for the GPS speedo.
