Description
"Marionette" is a 50 foot sloop designed by Paul Kettenburg. She was built Carvel Planked of dark red Philippine Mahogany on White Oak frames in 1963 by Kettenburg Boat Works in San Diego, CA. In profile the vessel shows a round stem, slight cut-away forefoot with a large fin keel having external lead ballast. She has a spade rudder and a moderate sheer with a fore deck followed by a long, Honduran Mahogany cabin. The coach roof over the forward portion of the vessel's interior is slightly lower than that covering the salon and galley aft. There is a keel stepped Spruce mast and boom.
