Description
Classic Beauty in a World-Class Cruising Destination
Now offered in the vibrant cruising hub of La Paz, Mexico, gateway to the Sea of Cortez, this beautifully restored 1967 Ta Shing Mason 43 sloop "Trouble" is a rare find for lovers of traditional craftsmanship and offshore capability.
Designed by renowned naval architect Al Mason, this nearly 50-foot wooden sailboat was expertly built in Taiwan using plank-on-frame construction. A previous owner dedicated seven years to an extensive restoration, including a fiberglass-encased hull (bottom and sides), enhancing durability while preserving her classic wooden charm.
Powered by a 48hp Chrysler Nissan SD22PU inboard diesel engine, she offers reliable performance and fuel-efficient cruising. The fin keel design ensures stability and smooth handling at sea, making her a solid candidate for serious offshore sailing.
Below deck, the interior is both unique and well-crafted, fully restored and in excellent cosmetic condition. The layout provides generous living space and easy access to bilge and structural components, ideal for maintenance and long-term cruising comfort.
With proper outfitting and shakedown cruising, “Trouble” is ready for bluewater adventures. Whether you're drawn to her timeless elegance or her ocean-going potential, she promises unforgettable voyages in one of the most spectacular cruising grounds in the world.
Don't miss your chance to own a true classic, let our local yacht experts show you how easy it is to start your cruising journey in La Paz, Mexico, where your next sailing adventure begins.
