Description
When commenting on the victory of the Giraglia in 1971 in Class IV, the press referred to it as the Stradivari of the Sea because it was not only extremely fast but also exceptionally beautiful and built with great refinement. MANIA I, project number 174 from the Sangermani Shipyard, was greatly loved by the designer Cesare Sangermani and his son Cesare Jr., who successfully helmed it in numerous races, including the Giraglia of 1971.
MANIA I was designed by Cesare Sangermani in 1968 and completed in 1969. The boat belonged to the shipyard itself until 1972 when it was sold to the first owner. Besides the shipyard itself, MANIA I has had only three owners to date, who have always maintained it with great passion. The current owner, thanks to the professionalism and craftsmanship of the Argentario shipyard, sails with a 'NEW' boat.
Its home port is Fiumicino.
