Description

Yanmar Diesel Engine installed 1990. Exact engine hours unknown but owner estimates 1200 hours.

Since purchase 7 years ago owners have cruised locally to Little Washington, Bath, Belhaven, Ocracoke, twice to Cape Lookout and some day sailing but that is all in 7 years. I believe it had around 900 hours on the gauge when I bought her.

40-gallon stainless fuel tank on port side (There is still a fuel fill and line on the starboard side going to the old tank in the keel but it needs to be removed)

80-gallon water tank in the keel. There is not a deck fill but the access is easy from the hatch at foot of the companionway stairs

Work completed In 2019:

New standing rigging

New running rigging

Installed mast steps

New tricolor mast head with strobe and automatic anchor light

Repaired soft areas in port aft deck, under cockpit sole, and on foredeck

Installed new manual windlass

The rigging, deck repair, mizzen support build, and windlass installation were done by Deaton’s

New Mantus and Fortress anchors

300 feet of chain on Mantus, 50 ft of chain and 250 ft of rode on Fortress

Mantus snubber

New base for Mizzen mast

Installed RayMarine wind/speed/depth (Southcoast)

Installed 2 new AGM batteries (there was originally one battery for house and one for starter. We added two to the house side. This year the old one on the house side died. We did not replace it but the wiring is in place to the battery charger should someone wish to add another AGM).

Installed 2 170 watt solar panels and controller

Replaced the Whale gusher pump in cockpit

Rewired the boat- installing new battery switch, electrical panel, battery charger, cabin lights, additional 120 outlets in boat as well as USB ports in cabin, v-berth, and cockpit

Upgraded all lights and running lights with LED. All round lights in galley, head, and passage are red/white

Removed marine toilet and holding tank and replaced with Nature’s Head composting toilet

Removed kerosene heater and stove and replaced stove with Origo non pressurized alcohol stove and oven. (we had a fire in the stove in 2020 which affected the stove’s appearance but not it’s function, the oven was not affected)

The boat came with electric floor heaters in main cabin and v-berth. These are wonderful when at dock! They don’t get really hot, but they take the damp off the cabin and they have a thermostat.

In 2020:

Installed granny bar at mast and additional handholds over dorades. Found a dodger frame that we liked but needed to be cut down. This was done beautifully and a handle was put on the aft end.

Had additions added to the stern pulpits to the gates to better support the solar panels. We also had an extension added to the anchor roller to accommodate both anchors. The guy that did the welding of the extensions was not the person who modified the dodger and made the granny pulpit and hand rails.

Ordered new main and mizzen from Precision Sails. The main has three reefs, two of which have lines leading to the mast.

In 2021:

Ordered a new jib from Precision Sails

Installed an Engel 120v/12v portable refrigerator

In 2022:

Rebuilt the exhaust elbow on the engine

Painted the interior bulkheads white and repainted tops of cabinets below cushions and the entire head

Replaced the curtains and recovered the cushions in the main cabin

Replaced the fabric on the hull in the v-birth

In 2023:

Installed Harken Ocean Furler (Sailcraft in Oriental NC)

Hauled boat and painted bottom with Petit Trinidad, buffed and waxed the hull

In 2024:

Installed Ray Marine EV autopilot. Had custom stainless pin made for mount. The autopilot is currently not connected to the Wind instruments but it is a simple matter of a cable that I hadn’t gotten around to purchasing.

In 2025:

Installed new bilge pumps in main bilge and shower sump

What doesn’t work:

Stereo (the speakers are fine and we ran new speaker wire to them when rewiring the boat, just the radio stopped working six months ago)
