Description
Beautiful classic Classic Ketch (One Off) designed by Studio Faggioni Yacht Designer* and built with iroko, mahogany and teak in 1977.
BARABBA is in very good condition and has undergone extensive restoration in 2023, since when it has had a new, excellent teak deck. The yacht is based in Tuscany and has italian flag.
* Studio Faggioni yacht designer (Ugo, the son Stefano and a skilled team) brought to life, conceiving, launching and restore many of the yachts that made hystory, such as Marlin, President John F. Kennedy’s 1930 fast commuter, La Spina, the first Italian International 12-Metre Class built by Baglietto in 1929, H.W. White’s 1920 Lulworth, still the largest gaff cutter in the world, and Orion, Croce del Sud, Astra, Candida, Yali, Silvia, Emilia, Mariette, Sakkara, Black Swan, Iduna, Patience, USS Williamsburg, among others.
At the age of 94, in December 2020, the last shipwright of Marina di Carrara passed away, undoubtedly one of the oldest and most experienced in the world: Carlo Ambrogio Bedini, known as Carlambrò, a pupil of the “father” of all shipwrights in northern Tuscany, Natino Celi, after whom Viareggio named a square. He worked in numerous shipyards building dozens of fishing boats until 1964, when he opened his own shipyard with his brother Paolo.
Among the many refined pleasure boats built here was BARABBA, based on the sophisticated designs of Ugo Faggioni for a refined shipowner, now the owner of one of the most beautiful vintage boats.
