Description
A compact Sparkman and Stephens design.
The Alpa 9.50 of S&S 32 of Italian Swan is a very nice looking, well-built, and very good sailing S&S design. It was built in Italy and has a beautifully finished accommodation on deck and in the cabin. It is a sturdy ship that has made many beautiful trips at sea. At sea, the ship behaves very pleasantly in waves.
It has a cabin and a lockable fore cabin. The ship has 5 sleeping places. The wet cell is accessible from the main cabin and has a toilet with a sink.
Due to the placement of the steering wheel, you can find a good sitting or standing position in the cockpit under all circumstances. There are two storage boxes in the cockpit. The cockpit is self-draining. The Alpa has well-walkable side decks.
The ship has been carefully maintained every year, and no expenses have been spared on investments. It is therefore in very nice condition both technically and cosmetically. During the winter period, the yacht has always been stored in a shed for maintenance by the owners.
After the purchase in 1998, an extensive maintenance and replacement program was initiated. The following items have been addressed and renewed.
Underwater hull completely stripped; placed in a 6-layer epoxy system; and fitted with a new antifouling (International self-polishing) system (1999)
Renewed gas installation with a box (1999)
Renewed gas stove with oven (1999)
Renewed GPS Garmin (1999)
Renewed boom and mainsail and reefing system (2000)
Renewed rigging (2000)
Renewed foresails in genoa 2 and HA (2001)
Renewed instruments by Raymarine ST 60 log-depth-wind (2002)
Replacement of plastic bearings on the propeller shaft (2002)
Renewed batteries, switch panels, and electrical installation (2004)
Furthermore, annual maintenance of the underwater hull, teak deck, winches, engine, etc.
