This is a true yacht, rigged as schooner. In a brilliant stand.
Sellers comment below:
" In the 70s, Sparkman & Stephens designed many boats for Nautor Swan. Very beautiful and well-sailing things. However, expensive to buy. According to hearsay, there were some enthusiasts who then asked Rolf Jacobsson, who designed the RJ 85, if he could design something similar - and so he did. The RJ 140 was born. They were built at Tollare shipyard by self-builders and I think about 17 were built. All in varying guises. Rigged as a sloop, ketch or schooner. Interiors were according to what the builder himself could or could afford to pay for. Most are flush-decked, which was the case in the original drawings. Many of these boats have sailed really far. It is a safe sailor that can withstand a lot of wind and rough seas. Really fast on half or downwind, at least with a schooner rig."
