Description

Complete refit! You will not find a cleaner vessel in this price range! Surveys welcome! This 1980 C&C Landfall 38 is a rare opportunity to own a nicely restored, high-performance cruiser at an affordable price!

  • New toilet installed in head (Nov 2024).
  • New battery banks (replaced within 1-2 months).  Bank 1 - House bank 4 x 6volt Diehard heavy duty 150 amp hours each. Bank 2 - Diehard Marine 850 CCA dedicated to windlass and bilge pumps. Bank 3 - Diehard heavy duty 1,000 CCA dedicated to starting diesel engine.  Yanmar 3QM30 with Paragon transmission and Walter V-drive.
  • New Yanmar 60 amp alternator installed in November 2024.
  • Completely rewired in 2020 using all marine grade wire with new Blue Sea panels and 3 bank battery system. Includes AC & DC wiring and all lighting upgraded to LED interior and exterior.
  • New PROMARINER 63160 PRONAUTIC 1260P 60 AMP battery charger
  • Repainted the hull and bottom in Jan 2022. I sanded the bottom all the way down to the gelcoat. (15-16 layers)  I repainted the bottom with 3 layers of Pettit Protect Barrier Coat, then 2 layers of Pettit Black Widow which is a hard bottom paint.  It's about time for a light sanding and new coat on the bottom, but the hard work was done.  There are no blisters or problems of any kind to the hull. The balsa core and deck are all solid with no rot of any kind.
  • Yanmar 3QM30 overhauled in 2020 (about 30 hours on it now). 30 gallon diesel tank drained and polished inside. New exhaust mixing elbow and tubing. Exhaust manifold sandblasted.
  • Refit of Edson steering pedestal including new pulley system, wire/chain, upgraded to add throttle collar/shifter
  • New MarineAire 11,000 btu air conditioner with March LC-3CP-MD Pump
  • New Dickinson Caribbean 2 burner propane stove with 2 tanks
  • New customer 12v refrigerator built-in, Isotherm 2013-SX Compact Air Cooled Refrigeration Component System with ISEC
  • New water pump and plumbing throughout with 3rd bladder tank in Vberth, approximately 90 gallons, new faucets in head and galley
  • New Lewmar polished stainless anchor with line
  • New stainless bow plate with anchor cradle
  • All deck hardware was stripped in 2019 and replaced with new as well as upgraded Lewmar pulleys and blocks
  • All halyards, sheets, and lines replaced in 2020
  • Captain's quarter berth and engine room completely gutted and restored with marine grade mahogany and teak trim. Converted single bunk into navigation station.
  • New hardwood bamboo sectional flooring in salon that is removable
  • New salon cushions
  • New headliner in salon with high-tech peel-n-stick insulation that maintains cabin temperature
  • New PSS Dripless Shaft Seal stuffing box
  • Companionway hatch and door replaced with new plexiglass with 30 solar tint. Galley and head port hatches refit with new plexi. Salon and Vberth hatches replaced with Lewmar Ocean series.

Produced between 1979 and 1985, with only 185 built, the Landfall 38 is a well-regarded, durable design. This upgraded classic is ready for long-distance cruising or liveaboard use--don't miss out!
