Description
Built in Canada by DeKleer Brothers, the Fraser 41 is a proven offshore cruising yacht known for strength, seaworthiness, and honest construction. LADY GI presents as a well-maintained example of this respected design, with a solid fibreglass hull, fin keel, skeg-hung rudder and fibreglass dodger—features prized by West Coast and bluewater sailors alike.
This vessel has cruised extensively throughout the Pacific, earning her reputation the proper way: by being used. She has cruised up and down the Pacific from Alaska, through the Panama Canal and around the Atlantic. She has proven herself over decades of real-world sailing.
The boat was built in 1983 and purchased by the current owner’s husband in 1987. It has remained in the same family for nearly four decades, and it's now time for its next chapter.
Assumable moorage is available in Nanaimo.
A September 2025 presale survey found the vessel structurally sound, serviceable, and suitable for her intended use, subject only to routine recommendations typical of a yacht of this vintage.
If you’re looking for a capable cruiser, come and look at Lady GI.

Accomodation
The interior reflects the practical, no-nonsense approach of serious cruising yachts. Forward v-berth provides a comfortable sleeping area with good storage, while the main saloon offers secure seating, excellent handholds, and a layout well suited to life underway or at anchor.
The salon berths work as excellent sea berths, and the aft quarter berth has lots of space for additional storage or sleeping on a passage.
Natural light and ventilation are ample, with lots of opening ports.
There is a FabAll Diesel furnace in place. The overall arrangement prioritizes safety, accessibility, and functionality—hallmarks of the Fraser design.
The enclosed head is fitted with a composting toilet system, eliminating the need for a blackwater holding tank while remaining compliant with environmental regulations.
The galley is arranged for use at sea, with secure footing, durable surfaces, and practical storage. Wedgwood 3 Burner LPG/Propane stove and two-rack oven. Gimbaled, of course.
