CONSTRUCTION

  • The 33 Mk II is hand laid up fiberglass hull, using Isophthalic gelcoat resin, utilizing Balsa coring only in the forward portion of the topsides to add stiffness
  • Instead of fully coring the hull, C&C used a reinforced Fiberglass structural grid to support loads from the mast and keel
  • Deck is balsa cored and reinforced with solid fiberglass around fittings and fastners
  • Hull-deck joint: inward facing flange, bonded and bolted through an aluminum tow rail
