Unique opportunity, unique ship: the Visotter
Lemsteraakjacht de Visotter is one of the finest cabin boats sailing in the Netherlands. The lines plan of this boat is recognizable as the work of A. de Boer from the famous shipyard De Boer in Lemmer. The lines of the Visotter are related to the design of the royal yacht 'De Groene Draeck'. The Visotter was built in 1991 by the Hummel brothers, who hold the exclusive construction rights to A. de Boer's designs. The ship fits into the rich tradition of Lemsteraken in yacht execution.
The Visotter, sail number VA114, is 15.20 m long and 5.00 m wide. The enormous interior space this provides is well utilized for the spacious salon with galley and navigation corner, four very spacious cabins, and generous sanitary facilities. This results in maximum comfort, with 7 fixed sleeping places (and 2 extra). The standing height of no less than 2.20 m gives the stay on board a spacious and rich feeling.
The interior of the Visotter is finished in teak, satin gloss lacquered to a very high quality level. The style is modern and somewhat sober. The design of panel doors with a rounded top is consistently applied throughout the ship. All the trim is sturdy and robust, with elegant details in the finishing. This creates a calm image, with a rich appearance.
Also on deck, the Visotter is a feast for the eyes. Teak on all decks, beautifully inlaid between lacquered teak hull planks. Large skylights for plenty of light in the interior. Spacious cockpit, with classic steering position with brass compass housing. Plenty of storage space in cockpit benches and ample access to the engine room. Not only very functional but also atmospheric and comfortable.
Sailing with the Visotter is a joy. Thanks to hydraulic steering and hydraulic daggerboard and rigging winches, the ship is easy to operate. Extensive sail wardrobe from Molenaar. Round timber Oregon Pine, oak daggerboards and rudder. Navigation equipment B&G, complete. Steyr 150 hp propulsion with water-lubricated propeller shaft with 3-blade feathering propeller.
The equipment of the ship is very complete. Cooking on gas, with oven. Refrigerator in the galley and a second in the cockpit. Hot running water. Hot air heating. Electric toilet. Whisper generator and battery bank with 7 batteries. Onboard network 12V / 24V and 220V. The ship has been blasted both inside and out and is equipped with the AWL Grip paint system.
The Visotter is a very special ship. A boat of this size designed by A. de Boer is a rarity. The equipment of the ship, the finishing, and the state of maintenance are at a high level. It is a fast sailor and winner of many awards. Together, this makes the offer of the Visotter a unique opportunity. A unique chance to acquire a distinctive, exclusive Lemsteraak. With a nod to the Royal House.
