Description
This is a special boat for a special buyer. It’s a classic 1992 Grand Soleil 45 German Frers edition, that was totally and completely refit in 2023-2024 by professional boat builders.
Notice the Stern equipped with a folding bath platform in the transom—super cool!
Here’s a summary of what they did:
Completely sanded the original gel coat, and replaced with structural reinforcement applied to the hull along the strength line of the internal chain plate to minimize hull shape movement in that area. This measure was taken to prevent minor defects in the varnish finish and to enhance structural integrity for aesthetic purposes
Completely repainted the hull in AWL Grip Navy Blue. Logo, nameplate, and lettering in gold.
Complete repaint of deck, cockpit, and superstructure in AWL Grip Optic White.
Mast and boom also repainted in AWL Grip Optic White.
All rigging components—deck fittings and mast/boom parts—were disassembled, inspected, cleaned, or replaced as needed.
Teak deck was treated and lightly sanded. Replaced in 2013; thickness remains at 15 mm.
Polished all stainless steel elements.
All plexiglass and gaskets for hatches and portholes were replaced.
All winches were disassembled, serviced, and polished; warping ends were re-chromed
Completely new standing rigging and lifelines supplied by G&G Rigging.
New batten car system for main sail supplied by Antal
New jib furling system by Profurl.
All running rigging replaced with Dyneema lines supplied by Gottifredi Maffioli.
Marine toilet and plumbing, along with the freshwater pump, replaced with Jabsco units.
All blocks at the mast step replaced with Classic Inox Series by ANTAL.
Propeller axe bushings were replaced
New fenders coverage
New stern coverage
New Lazy Bag
New memory foam mattresses in the stern cabin.
